Alpha Bouldus: The Earth Alpha Hill of Berylline Vale
Alpha Bouldus holds a small hill northeast of the Mudstone Pass Bloom in Berylline Vale. Here is how to out-muscle the Earth Alpha and farm Loam Stones.
Alpha Bouldus is the Earth Alpha of Berylline Vale — a collision specialist that never yields. It shares the region with Alpha Ignitis, so one trip can check two boxes if you build for both.
Location
Go northeast of the Mudstone Pass Bloom in Berylline Vale and look for the small hill — Bouldus roams on top of it. It is hard to miss once you are close; the problem is the approach, since the hill sits in higher-tier spawn territory. Level before you walk over. The Berylline Vale map guide covers the region.
Weaknesses and counters
Bouldus is Earth: it takes 1.6x from Grass and Water and resists Fire, Ice, Earth and Dark. Grass is the clean answer here — Water works too, but Berylline Vale’s wild spawns lean Fire, so a Water slot does double duty.
The fight
- Never-yield collisions — its whole identity is refusing to budge. Expect charging tackles and body slams; the classic mistake is blocking its momentum instead of sidestepping it.
- Stone-tier bulk — the body is tougher than stone, so this is a guard-bar fight, not a burst fight. Without a Break unit you will chip at it for minutes.
- Relentless but slow — once you learn the tackle timing, the punish windows are generous. Patience beats aggression.
Bring Grass or Water DPS, a Break unit, and a Heal for the long haul.
The team
- Grass DPS — main damage into the weakness.
- Water DPS — backup plus regional coverage.
- Break — thick guard bar makes this non-negotiable.
- Heal — a long fight needs sustain, not burst.
The catch and the reward
First clear pays Loam Stone x5, Glimmer x50, Safaris x500, Irisalis Petal x1, and Lumin Amber x1, with Loam Stone as the repeat material. Secure the capture window with an Aniipod Ultra or Sparkling Cube (100%) — each attempt costs 30 Primegy. Rules in the Capture Mechanics guide.
Where it fits
Loam Stones feed the Earth evolution lines, and Berylline Vale also hosts the region’s Omega Infergon in Russet Highlands’ neighbor region — see the Boss Guides overview for how the Earth and Dark bosses of this late area sequence together. For the other Earth Alphas, Alpha Grizbo runs the same resist profile.
