Alpha Tubster: The Wind Alpha of the Argent Strait Shore
Alpha Tubster patrols a shore southwest of First Spark Sanctum in the Argent Strait. Here is how to beat the shielded Wind Alpha and its Dewdrop farm.
Alpha Tubster is the Wind Alpha of The Argent Strait — sturdy, steady, and standing firm against wind and waves along the coast. It is one of the few Alphas whose repeat drop is a regional crystal rather than an elemental stone, which makes it a genuinely useful farm.
Location
Go southwest of the First Spark Sanctum in the Argent Strait, to the center of the shore. Tubster patrols the beach there. The region is a low-tier coastal area, so this is one of the earlier Alphas you can comfortably challenge — a good first Alpha after Alpha Turbo. The Argent Strait map guide covers the layout.
Weaknesses and counters
Tubster is Wind: it takes 1.6x from Light and Lightning and resists Lightning and Wind. Your Light starter (Helion or Lunara) is the direct answer, and a Lightning attacker is the backup. Since your starter counters two of the early Alphas (Turbo and Tubster), a Light-led team earns its keep early.
The fight
- Wind gusts and sound attacks — ranged pressure that pushes you around. The sound waves are telegraphed; the gusts are the real problem because they break your positioning mid-dodge.
- Defensive shields — Tubster uses its wind abilities to raise shields. This is the fight’s core gimmick: your Break unit has to strip the guard before damage lands, same as any Alpha, but the shield uptime makes a slow Break especially painful here.
- Coastal terrain — the shore arena is open, so there are no walls to corner you into. Use the space; reposition constantly.
Bring Light or Lightning DPS, a Break unit, and a Heal.
The team
- Light DPS — your starter, fully leveled.
- Lightning DPS — backup into the weakness.
- Break — shield uptime makes this the MVP slot.
- Heal — the pushback from gusts causes chip damage over time.
The catch and the reward
First clear pays Breezy Plains Dewdrop Crystals as the headline material, alongside the standard Glimmer x50, Safaris x500, Irisalis Petal x1, and Lumin Amber x1 bundle. Dewdrop Crystals feed Resonance star-ups, so this is a repeat-farm target once the story move on. Secure the capture window with an Aniipod Ultra or Sparkling Cube (100%) — attempts cost 30 Primegy. Rules in the Capture Mechanics guide.
Where it fits
Tubster is the resource Alpha of the early coast: Dewdrop Crystals are the long-game bottleneck, and this shore is the closest source. Compare with Alpha Magmarex, the other Dewdrop Alpha, in the Boss Guides overview.
