Budclaw: Aniimo's Grass/Rock Breaker for Early Teams

Budclaw is a Grass and Rock Break-role Aniimo that covers two elements at once. Learn where to find it and why a dual-element breaker is worth keeping.

Budclaw is a Grass / Rock (Earth) creature with a Break role — and a dual-element breaker is exactly the kind of efficient pick that keeps your four-slot team from feeling cramped.

The basics

  • Elements: Grass and Rock (Earth)
  • Role: Break
  • Identity: a sturdy breaker that also gives you two defensive elements to plan around

Because Budclaw carries two elements, it reads against enemies on both at once — check the Aniimo Type Chart for how Grass and Earth each match up. Grass is strong into Water and Earth; Earth is strong into Fire and Ice. That spread covers a lot of the early-game roster.

Why a dual-element breaker

Most teams want a Break unit and element coverage, which is two slots spent. Budclaw does both: it opens guard windows and brings Grass/Earth damage to the table. In the Aniimo Early Team Build template, it is a natural Break pick that does not cost you an element slot.

Where to find it

Budclaw appears in the game’s grassy and rocky biomes. Its precise regional spawn and any weather-gated variant should be confirmed against your Aniilog and the live map — the open world’s creature distribution is tied to biome, weather, phenomena, and time of day, so a creature “not there” usually means the wrong condition, not a missing spawn.

Forms and variants

Like many creatures, Budclaw can appear in environmental forms (Highland, Mountain Woods, Prismana, and similar) that shift its look and sometimes its stats or typing. Whether Budclaw has a specific coastal or intertidal form is to be confirmed in your client — do not assume a form exists until the Aniilog shows it. The Prismana angle is covered in the Aniimo Prismana Guide.

How to use it

Run Budclaw as your Break slot, pair it with your Light starter and a Heal, and let the Grass/Earth damage fill matchup gaps. It is a workhorse, not a spotlight creature — and workhorses are what get you to the Alphas.
