Susuta in Aniimo: The Shy Water Break Digger

Susuta is Aniimo's shy Water Break creature from Echoback Landing that digs up gifts for its crushes. Here is its line, skills and whether to raise it.

Susuta is Aniimo No.033, and the official description is pure charm: they dig around searching for gifts to give to their crushes, but their wooing always fails because they are so shy. It is the base of one of the game’s more interesting Water lines — and one of the earliest answers to “how do I swim?”

Element and role

Susuta is Water, slotted as a Break unit in community role listings. Its habitat is Echoback Landing, the coastal region around Lv36–40. As an early Water Break, it fills a slot that many starters do not — and it does it in the region where you will first need a swimmer anyway.

Where to catch it

Susuta spawns in the wild in Echoback Landing. As always, region is only one of three spawn conditions — check the in-game Aniimo Distribution screen for the exact conditions, and remember some forms only appear under specific weather or time of day. Habitat details are in the Map and Spawn Guide.

The evolution line

The Susuta line branches, which is the fun part:

  • Susuta to Popota — part of the Water Break chain documented around Echoback Landing.
  • Popota to Piopiota — documented as requiring a Wave Stone.
  • Popota to Panpanta — the other branch, and the harder one: it requires defeating Alpha Panpanta, reaching level 39, doing it at night, with a personality that contains both [Instinctive] and [Judicious]. Wrong personality, no evolution.

Full requirement breakdown in the Evolution Lines guide. Alpha Panpanta itself is covered in the Panpanta guide.

Skills and field value

  • Swim Lv.1 — Susuta is a documented swimmer, which makes it a dual-purpose catch: a Break unit that also opens water routes in your explore tab. Mechanics in the Movement Abilities guide.
  • Break kit — chip the boss gauge and open stagger windows; the role breakdown is in the Combat Guide.

Individual skill values and stats are not fully documented in community sources — check the in-game Aniilog for your build.

Is it worth raising?

Yes, with one caveat. Susuta is a cheap, early Water Break that doubles as your swimmer — that combination is worth a roster slot on day one. The caveat is the Panpanta branch: if you want it, check your Susuta’s personality tags before you invest, because [Instinctive] + [Judicious] is a hard gate and personality does not change on its own. The Piopiota branch is the simpler long-term target.

Keep the Wave Stones from Alpha Panpanta and Alpha Tubster — community tracking lists both as sources — and you will never be short for this line. Boss basics in Boss Guides.
