Aniimo Type Chart: Every Element Matchup Explained
Aniimo's nine elements use only three damage tiers — 1.6x, 1x, and 0.625x — with no immunities. Here is the full chart and how to read it mid-fight.
Aniimo keeps its element system deliberately simple compared to the genre it borrows from. There are nine elements, every matchup lands on one of exactly three numbers, and there are no immunity tricks to memorize. If you can read one row, you can read them all.
The three multipliers
- 1.6x — super effective. Your attack hits hard.
- 1x — neutral. Business as usual.
- 0.625x — resisted. You are wasting effort; swap or reposition.
That is the entire system. No “half damage” weirdness, no immunities, and — this trips up a lot of newcomers — same-element attacks are always resisted (0.625x), never neutral. Fire hitting Fire is a bad idea, not a coin flip.
The full chart
Read it as: the row is the element your skill is using, the listed elements are what it hits for 1.6x or gets resisted by. Everything else is neutral (1x).
| Attacking | Super effective (1.6x) | Resisted (0.625x) |
|---|---|---|
| Fire | Grass, Ice | Fire, Water, Earth, Light |
| Water | Fire, Earth | Water, Grass, Ice, Light |
| Grass | Water, Earth | Fire, Grass, Light |
| Lightning | Water, Wind | Lightning, Ice, Earth |
| Ice | Water, Lightning | Fire, Ice, Earth |
| Earth (Rock) | Fire, Ice | Water, Grass, Earth, Dark |
| Wind | Grass, Dark | Lightning, Wind |
| Light (Holy) | Wind, Dark | Lightning, Light |
| Dark | Grass, Lightning, Light | Water, Wind |
Official data labels sometimes call Lightning “Electric”, Earth “Rock”, and Light “Holy” — same nine elements, just different internal names. A few community write-ups show slightly different rows, so the safest check is the in-game Counters Info panel; the values above are the launch-panel consensus documented across multiple sources in September 2026.
Dual elements
A two-element Aniimo shows two separate rolls, not a combined multiplier. If your attack is super effective against one of its elements and neutral against the other, you get 1.6x on that element — the game reports each matchup independently. It never multiplies them into 2.56x, so do not stack expectations.
What this means for your starter
Both Helion and Lunara are Light. Their attacks are strong into Wind and Dark, and weak into Lightning and Light. Early Wind or Dark bosses (Alpha Turbo, Alpha Stellarys) are where your starter shines; anything Lightning or Light needs a different element from your early catches. Pair the starter with coverage rather than a second Light creature. For team-building theory, see Aniimo Early Team Build and the full Aniimo Tier List.
The one habit
Before any boss or Alpha, open Counters Info and read the two rows you care about. A correct element is worth roughly 2.5x the wrong one — that gap closes more fights than any single stat boost.
