Exiled Survivors Pyromancer Guide: Fire Specialist Build

How the Pyromancer plays in Exiled Survivors — a committed fire specialist with build direction, skill combos, and Focus passive priorities.

Pyromancer is one of the 24 characters confirmed in Exiled Survivors’ data, and the name commits you to a lane before the run starts. The specific starting skills, numbers and unlock condition are not fully documented — check in-game — everything below is inference from the name and the game’s confirmed systems.

What the name tells you (inference)

Pyromancer sits with the elemental specialists — FireTamer, FrostWeaver, ArcticMage. The game’s own skill text confirms a deep fire line: fireballs, fire vortices, infernal rains, Ring of Fire and its enchantments, fire totems. The inference: a fire-specialist caster whose offers skew fire from the first screen, which means your Focus passives and your skills agree with each other. Inference, not a documented character sheet.

Damage direction

Fire — one of the eight confirmed tags (Fire, Frost, Lightning, Nature, Poison, Bleeding, Curse, Arcane). Fire’s identity is raw damage-over-time burn plus big area patterns; it is the least control-heavy element and the most explosive. Trade-offs are laid out in the damage types guide.

Core skill combo

  • Automatic core: a Meteor-line skill (Meteor, Meteor Shower, Meteor Storm all exist) or a Ring-line skill for close quarters. Meteors fall onto target areas, which the game notes lets them hit more enemies in dense packs.
  • Energy skill: an energy Nova or Burst when the horde reaches you.
  • Focus passives: stack the tiers for your fire family of choice, +/++/+++. The Overflow upgrade — turning burning enemies into burning novas — rewards applying burn to everything, so status first, damage second. Mechanics in the focus passives guide.

Build direction

  1. One fire family, maxed. The specialist bias only pays off if you commit.
  2. Add a Cyclone (fire vortex) or Totem for ground coverage while you kite.
  3. Fire has no slow — you need positioning or a control rider.
  4. Gear: fire damage and area. Stat weights are not fully documented — check in-game.

Beginner-friendly?

Yes — one of the easier specialists. Big numbers, readable effects, no hidden systems.

How it differs

FrostWeaver is the control mirror: slower kills, better at locking down packs. FireTamer is the other fire name — it reads as the more summon-adjacent fire pick. Elementalist can go fire but dilutes across four elements. Roster context in the best characters guide.
