Lost Ark Dimensionalist Build Guide (New Class)
The Dimensionalist, Lost Ark's new time-and-space Specialist: known playstyle, the two build directions, stat sense, and what to expect while the meta settles.
The Dimensionalist joined the roster with the Dimensions Unbound update (September 16, 2026) as a Male Specialist who bends space and time with clock-hand weapons. He is fresh, so treat any specific numbers below as “still settling” — the in-game Recommended Skills data only started populating around September 23. What we do know is the fantasy and the two ways he plays.
The fantasy
He fights with hour-hand and minute-hand skills plus combination skills that manipulate space and time on the battlefield. Expect a highly mobile, effect-heavy kit built around repositioning and timed burst rather than standing still and trading. As a Specialist, he brings his own identity resource and a distinct flavor from the gunner or mage lines.
The two build directions
The class splits into two identity paths:
- Time Manager — leans into a sustained, hit-based style. Think of it as the “control the clock” approach: you keep your buffs and resources spinning and convert that into steady, reliable damage.
- Space Swordsman — leans into a back-attack / ambush playstyle. More positional, more burst from hitting the boss’s rear, and a higher skill ceiling if you enjoy farming back attacks.
Neither is “wrong.” Pick based on whether you like steady uptime or greedy positioning. As the Western meta matures, one may pull ahead in specific raids, but for now both are completely playable.
Stats and engravings
Until live data firms up, the safe stat read for a mobile burst class is Crit first, then Specialization for identity uptime, with a little Swiftness if the kit feels slow. For engravings, start from the engravings guide and slot your class identity engraving plus the usual damage picks (Hit Master / Adrenaline / Keen Blunt Weapon–style choices) once you confirm what your build rewards.
Progression notes
He launches at a high item level via the event Powerpass and Mokoko Base Camp, so you are not leveling him from zero — you are learning the kit at endgame. Use the beginner guide for the systems, the gear honing roadmap for where to push, and the Ark Grid guide for his endgame Core once you are past 1700. If you want a simpler first class while you learn, the classes guide has calmer options.
