Rocket League Item Shop Guide: Daily Rotation, Featured Items, and How to Spend Credits Smart

Learn how the Rocket League Item Shop works: the 24-hour and 48-hour rotations, what Featured and Daily items mean, and how to spend your Credits on items you'll actually use.

The Item Shop replaced crates when Rocket League went free-to-play, and it’s still the main way people burn Credits. No keys, no RNG — you see the item, you see the price, you buy it or you don’t. Here’s how the rotation works and how to not waste money.

How the rotation works

The shop runs on two timers:

  • Daily Items rotate every 24 hours — the bulk of the storefront: wheels, decals, boosts, toppers, sometimes car bodies.
  • Featured Items rotate every 48 hours — the pricier stuff at the top: painted variants, crossover car bodies, Black Market goal explosions.

Once the timer runs out, that item is gone until it cycles back. Epic doesn’t publish a reset time or a return schedule, so the only reliable clock is the timer shown on each item in your own shop. Third-party trackers post the daily rotation if you don’t feel like logging in.

One rule that trips people up: each item can only be bought once per appearance. Two copies means waiting for the next rotation.

What things cost

Prices scale with rarity (roughly, as of Season 24):

  • Rare — the cheapest tier, low hundreds of credits at most
  • Very Rare — a step above
  • Import — mid-hundreds; many car bodies live here
  • Exotic / Black Market — the big-ticket buys, with Black Market costing around two thousand credits

Painted and Special Edition versions cost meaningfully more, and Titanium White is the most expensive paint across the board. The game shows the exact price before you confirm, so no surprises.

How to spend Credits smart

  • Check the shop daily. Thirty seconds, and it’s the only way to catch an item you actually want.
  • Don’t impulse-buy filler. A decal you’ll equip once is Credits you won’t have for the item you really wanted.
  • Neutral paints are safer. Titanium White, Black, and Grey work with almost any build. Lime green wheels match exactly one setup.
  • Crossover car bodies don’t go on sale. Licensed collaborations come back at the same price later — waiting saves you nothing.
  • Saving for the Rocket Pass? Premium costs Credits and pays itself back if you finish it. Read the Rocket Pass guide before shopping.

Refunds and gifting

Epic’s support pages note that Credit purchases made within the last 30 days can be refunded with a limited number of lifetime return tickets. Real-money purchases and the Rocket Pass are not refundable. Items can’t be gifted from the in-game shop — gifting happens through the Epic Games Store website or launcher.

Also: anything bought here is not tradeable. For turning drops into items instead, see the trading guide. And if you’d rather not spend at all, the free items guide covers every no-cost source.

Bottom line: check the shop daily, only buy what you’ll equip, and treat Featured items as a two-day decision window — not a panic window.
