THE FINALS Best PC Settings for FPS (Season 12)
THE FINALS is a shooter where seeing the enemy first usually means you win the fight, so your settings should favor framerate and clarity over pretty graphics. Here’s a sane competitive setup.
Display
- VSync: Off. VSync adds input lag. Turn it off unless you get bad screen tearing.
- NVIDIA Reflex: On (if you have an RTX card). It lowers latency with basically no downside.
- FOV: 100. Higher FOV shows more around you. 100 is the sweet spot — much higher and enemies get small.
- Frame limit: Off (or match your monitor’s refresh). Let the game run uncapped if your rig can handle it.
Graphics
- Ray tracing: Off. It looks nice but tanks FPS for almost no gameplay gain.
- Dynamic blur / motion blur: Off. You want crisp targets, not smeared ones.
- DLSS / FSR: Balanced or Quality if you need more frames; turn it off entirely if you’re already above your monitor’s refresh.
- Drop Shadows and Effects to Medium — they barely change how the game plays but cost a lot of FPS.
HUD (new in Season 12)
Season 12 redesigned the HUD and added real customization. You get a Quick Settings tab to pin your most-tweaked options, a dedicated crosshair tab, and HUD scaling that works on ultrawide screens. Spend five minutes here: scale the HUD so your health and cash counter are readable without blocking the center of your screen. A clean HUD beats a pretty one when a Light is flanking you.
Don’t forget audio — Season 12 rebuilt footstep sounds, so wear headphones; you can now hear Lights, Mediums, and Heavies differently, which is huge for spotting flanks.

One last tip: set a separate ADS sensitivity if you snipe, and lower it a touch from your hipfire sens so long shots stay steady. If you’re on a weaker rig, drop render resolution to 90% before you touch anything else — that single slider often buys more FPS than every other graphics option combined.
