THE FINALS Ranked Cashout Guide (Season 12)
THE FINALS Ranked Cashout guide: team-wipe penalty, seeding, Ruby top 500, and the placement strategy you need to climb the leagues in Season 12.
THE FINALS Ranked Cashout Guide (Season 12)
Ranked Cashout is the eight-team tournament that decides your league. Two qualifying rounds of four teams each (3v3v3v3), then a 3v3 final between the two survivors. First team to $50,000 in the final wins. It plays like regular Cashout but with a few rules that change how you think.
The team-wipe penalty
Here’s the big one: if your whole team gets wiped in a qualifying round, you lose 15% of your total cash on top of the respawn delay. Late in a round when you’ve stacked $30k, that’s $4,500 gone. So surviving beats fighting. Don’t chase the last kill if your team is low — just live. This is the single most important habit to build.
Seeding
Your seed is your team’s MMR placement. Seed 1 is expected to win, seed 8 is expected to lose. Outperform your seed and you gain more Rank Score (RS); underperform and you lose more. The scoreboard hides seeds and RS from other teams until you’re eliminated, so don’t target the “top” team — just play your bracket.
Ruby and the top 500
Leagues run Bronze → Silver → Gold → Platinum → Diamond (each with four tiers), then Ruby. Ruby isn’t a threshold you cross once — it’s the top 500 players on the leaderboard at season end. You have to finish there, not just touch it. Personal-performance RS bonuses reward good individual games, but placement still rules.
Placement strategy
You’ll do four placement tournaments before you get a visible rank. After that, consistency wins: avoid wipes, defend cashouts you own, and know when second place is enough to qualify. Study the cashout guide for the core loop, and learn the maps so you’re never lost on rotation. The classes guide helps you build a coordinated team. New? Read the beginner guide first.
Communication is the difference between Diamond and stuck. Call out which team holds the cashout, where the third team is rotating, and when you’re low on respawns so nobody over-peeks. Use your Reserve slot to cover your team’s weakness — a Medium brings Goo, a Heavy brings a turret, a Light brings a Vanish Bomb for safe revives. The cashout guide goes deeper on the core loop if you skipped it.
