THE FINALS Season 12 Prime Time Changes
THE FINALS Season 12 Prime Time changes explained: Infiltrator class, Solo Showdown, destruction overhaul, new HP values, and what to grind first.
THE FINALS Season 12 “Prime Time” Changes
Season 12, titled Prime Time, dropped on October 20, 2026, and it’s the biggest update THE FINALS has had since launch. If you logged in after that date and felt lost, here’s the rundown — and what you should grind first.
The headline changes
- Infiltrator (new Light playstyle): True Sight sees through smoke and reveals cloaked or disguised enemies, the Mimic Device disguises you as a prop, and the Translocator swaps your position with a marked object. Full breakdown in the Infiltrator guide.
- Solo Showdown (beta): 12 solo players, three rounds, bottom four eliminated each round, eight rotating mini-modes. No team required. Covered in the Solo Showdown guide.
- Destruction overhaul: Buildings now sag, swing, and partially collapse. Explosions create Blast Waves that push debris, and smoke reacts to the space. See the destruction guide.
- HP changes: Light 150 → 175, Heavy 350 → 325. The gap between them shrank, so fights feel closer.
- VR currency removed: Weapons and gadgets now unlock via Playstyle Tokens or automatically. Your old VR balance is gone by design.
- Sponsor Journey + Fans: Sponsors (OSPUZE, ALFA ACTA, ISEUL-T) give Challenges; World Tour now ranks by Fans instead of points.
- Customizable HUD: New Quick Settings, crosshair tab, and HUD scaling.
What to prioritize
- Learn the new movement tech — destruction changed how you rotate.
- Pick a main from the classes guide and read its build guide (Light, Medium, Heavy).
- Grab the S-tier loadouts so you’re not undergunned.
- Try Ranked Cashout once you’re comfortable.
New players should start at the beginner guide.
Two more things landed this season. Dynamic Commentary is in beta — the announcer Scotty now calls players out by name after big plays, and you can mute it or hide your name in settings if it bugs you. There’s also a Frights Galore Halloween event with a prize wheel if you want free cosmetics. The Season 12 Battle Pass (Free, Premium, or Ultimate) is the usual cosmetics grind, and the Premium tier hands out up to 1,650 Multibucks as you level it. Audio got reworked too: footsteps are clearer and differ by body type, so headphones matter more than ever.
