Battlefield 6 Squad Play: Marking, Roles, and Revive Timing
Play Battlefield 6 as a squad—the marker system, four-man roles, revives and drags, and squad-order bonuses that quietly win matches.
Solo players win gunfights; squads win matches. Battlefield 6 hands you a four-man squad and a stack of tools that multiply your impact — if you actually use them. Here’s how to play like a team without muting your mics.
The marker system is free intel
Ping everything. Enemy tank? Ping it. Sniper nest? Ping it. A flag you’re about to take? Ping it so your squad flows there instead of wandering. Marking costs nothing and feeds your whole team’s minimap. The Recon auto-spot trait and Motion Sensor extend this further — lean on your Recon to light up the map while you push.
Four-man role coverage
A balanced squad covers all four classes. Assault leads the push and sets squad spawns with the deploy beacon. Engineer protects and hunts armor. Support keeps everyone supplied and revives. Recon spots and holds angles. You don’t need perfect comps every life, but if nobody’s playing Support, your squad will bleed out and stay dead.
Revive timing and drags
Support’s defibrillator is the highest-value tool in the game — a full-charge revive brings a teammate back at full health. But timing is everything. Don’t revive in the open under fire; drag the body to cover first, then pop the defib. A dead Support who tried a heroic stand-up revive helps nobody. Read the drag technique in the movement guide.
Squad orders and bonuses
Squad orders and the Assault’s Rally Squad ability push your whole fireteam faster and smarter. Follow the squad leader’s order when it makes sense — the spawn beacon and shared momentum matter more than your lone wander. A squad that spawns on a beacon deep in enemy territory flips a flag before the enemy reacts.
Communicate cheaply
You don’t need a headset to teamplay. Pings, the commo rose, and sticking near your squad do 80% of the work. If you do talk, call enemy positions by direction and distance, not “they’re over there.”
