Battlefield 6 Vehicles: Every Family, Seat, and Ticket Play Explained
A veteran breakdown of six Battlefield 6 vehicle families—tanks, helis, jets, IFVs, AA, and boats—plus seats, repairs, and the ticket logic that wins matches.
If you’ve only ever played Battlefield on foot, you’re missing half the game. Combined arms is the whole point, and Battlefield 6 leans into it harder than 2042 ever did. Here’s how the vehicle roster actually shakes out as of Season 5, and how to use it without feeding the enemy free kills.
The six families
Battlefield 6 ships six vehicle families you’ll pilot in matches:
- Main Battle Tanks (MBT) — the M1A2 SEPv3 for NATO, the Leo A4 for Pax Armata. Big gun, thick front, slow turn.
- Infantry Fighting Vehicles (IFV) — Bradley and Strf 09. Lighter than a tank, carries troops, trades cannon for a missile rack.
- Mobile Anti-Air (MAA) — Cheetah and GE-26 PAX. Your answer to anything with rotors or wings.
- Helicopters — transport (UH-79), scout (Little Bird / MH-350), and attack (Falchion / Panthera KHT).
- Jets — attack, fighter, multirole, and interceptor airframes.
- Boats — the RCB-90 patrol boat and RHIBs, which only show up on naval maps like Wake Island.
Smaller maps stick to ground transports and the occasional IFV. The big sandbox maps are where you’ll see jets overhead.
Seats matter more than you think
A tank isn’t a one-man show: driver, gunner, and two hitching points on the rear deck. The gunner keeps infantry off the commander while you reload. An IFV seats five and is the best troop taxi in the game — use it to drop a squad on a back flag instead of walking. If you’re riding shotgun, do something useful: spot, repair, or man the gun. A dead-passenger tank is a wasted spawn.
Repair discipline
Only Engineers repair vehicles, full stop. If you’re crewing armor, beg one into your squad or you’ll be walking back to base every time. The Repair Tool also works on friendly assets and equipment, not just your ride. And here’s the kicker: you don’t have to be stationary. A moving repair is slower but keeps you alive when a rocket’s already inbound.
The ticket logic
Vehicles don’t just kill — they bleed tickets. Destroying an enemy transport or wiping a helicopter crew costs them more than a single infantry death. Conversely, losing your only tank hands the enemy map control. Don’t YOLO a jet into the enemy AA net; a dead pilot is a wasted life and a free ticket swing.
