Battlefield 6 B36A4: The Rank 14 Assault Rifle Worth the Grind

The B36A4 is one of Battlefield 6's best assault rifles — 720 RPM, solid damage, and a laser at mid range once you build it right. Here's how.

The B36A4 unlocks at Career Rank 14, and it’s been a top-tier assault rifle pick since the first week of Battlefield 6. It’s the middle child of the AR class: not as easy as the KORD, not as punchy as the M433, but with the right attachments it does things neither of them does.

The numbers that matter

  • 720 RPM with 25 damage per round. Four shots to drop a full-health enemy, which puts it comfortably ahead of slower-firing rifles in fair fights.
  • 30-round magazine. Standard, boring, and exactly what you want — you rarely run dry mid-push.
  • Kicky by default. Out of the box the B36 climbs and drifts. The whole point of building this gun is fixing that.

Controlling it

The B36A4 rewards burst discipline more than any AR except the M433:

  • Three- to four-round bursts at mid range. The gun settles fast if you let it; hold the trigger and the fifth round is in the sky.
  • Your first burst decides the fight. Miss the opener and you’re reloading while they push.
  • Don’t duel SMGs indoors. The 720 RPM can’t win that race — take the fight at 20 to 40 meters where the rifle’s damage model pays off.

Attachment direction

You’ve got 100 points. Two proven paths:

Mid-range laser (the popular one):

  • Muzzle: Compensated Brake or Linear Compensator. This is the expensive, non-negotiable core of the build. The B36’s recoil is tameable, but only with real points here.
  • Barrel: 510mm Fluted. Bullet velocity up, ADS time down. The velocity makes leading targets at 40-plus meters much easier.
  • Underbarrel: Classic Vertical or Ribbed Vertical. Maximum climb control. This is what turns the gun into a laser.
  • Ammunition: Soft Point. Bonus headshot damage pairs perfectly with the burst playstyle.
  • Optic: 2x variable. Enough magnification to use the velocity, not so much that close tracking suffers.

Lightweight runner:

Swap the heavy vertical for a Low Profile Stubby, run a CQB-length barrel and a Flash Hider, and take a fast 20-round mag. You lose the long-range edge and gain an SMG-ish assault rifle that fits Empire State and Saints Quarter perfectly.

Class pairing

Assault, obviously — faster draw times and sprint-to-fire speed suit a rifle you’re pushing with. Pair it with the Adrenaline Injector for re-engagement windows and a frag to clear rooms before you enter.

Who should run it

  • Players who’ve graduated from the M433. Same role, more range, more control — once it’s built.
  • Anyone on mixed-range maps. New Sobek City, Iberian Offensive, Eastwood all give you 20-to-50-meter lanes to bully.
  • Patient players. The B36 is not a rush gun. It wins the player who picks the right range.

Want easier recoil? The KORD 6P67. Want a headshot cannon? The Season 5 MK 24. Build order in the attachment unlocks guide.
