Esiemo Build Guide – Plant Bombs, Walk Away, Enjoy the Fireworks

An Esiemo explosive build for The First Descendant: chain Time Bombs and Blast, the Cluster Bomb mod, and the defensive gear he needs to survive.

Esiemo is the demolitions expert, and playing him feels like setting up the world’s best trap and watching it pay off. He has no defensive skills, so the build is half fireworks, half “please don’t die.”

His Explosive Toolkit

  • Time Bomb sticks a bomb to an enemy or wall.
  • Blast instantly detonates everything attached, and the damage scales with how many bombs are stuck.
  • Guided Landmine flies to a nearby enemy and attaches – great for ambushes.
  • Arche Explosion, his ultimate, is a melee charge that knocks back and explodes, then drops him into a Madness state.
  • Passive Adventitious Habit drops a bomb whenever his shield fully breaks, so don’t fear losing shield.

The Signature Mod

Cluster Bomb (Transcendent) is the reason to play him: detonating a bomb spawns more explosives at the blast site, turning one Blast into a chain reaction. Pair it with Creative Explosion if you want to dump all bombs at once after a dash.

Modules

Fire Specialist and Focus on Fire pump his Fire skill power and trim cooldowns. Skill Range Mastery and Skill Expansion widen his blasts. Since he is squishy, slot Increased Shield, Increased HP, Increased DEF, Willpower Efflux, and Technique Manual (adds a chunk of your Max HP as damage). Dual Claw is a free capacity boost.

Reactor and Guns

Run a Burning Mixture (Fire + Fusion) or Burning Mechanics (Tech) reactor and meet its Optimization Condition for the damage spike. For weapons, Greg’s Reversed Fate rewards hitting shielded enemies with a big AoE that feeds his playstyle; Thunder Cage and Restored Relic are strong alternates.

Survival First

Esiemo lives or dies by his external components – stack Max Shield, Max HP, HP Recovery, and DEF so he can get in close and get out. He is a blast in mobbing and bossing alike. Compare him in our tfd-tier-list, and if you are building toward the late game, tfd-reactor-external-components explains set bonuses like Hunter and Slayer that shape his defensive shell.
