Nell Build Guide — New Non-Attribute Powerhouse in The First Descendant

Nell is the new Non-Attribute Descendant in Season 4 — here is her skill-based build, reactor split, modules, and the best weapons to run on her.

Nell is one of the newer Descendants and she’s a Non-Attribute specialist with a fun twist: her skills are split between Tech (1 and 4) and Fusion (2 and 3). That split is the whole build puzzle, and once you solve it she’s a flexible, strong pick.

What Nell actually does

Her kit leans on a towed/pooled damage style — her second skill applies a “towed” effect that basically means you never run out of MP, which is huge for skill spam. Without the Shattered Heart Transcendent, her fourth skill is Gaze of the Abyss, which makes every gun shot count as a weak-point hit and boosts weak-point damage. That opens a gun-build path too.

Best weapon pairing

The ATR-0 Prototype is the Non-Attribute skill-power stat stick — it boosts all her skill damage, so it’s the default. Blue Beetle pumps Fusion-skill crit rate, and Secret Garden’s Pest Control buffs her Tech skills hard (sprint/grapple cores are a bonus). For a gun build, Malevolent and Perforator love the sure-weak-point mechanic.

Reactor + skill match

Because skills are mixed, you pick per build: Materialized Mixture (Fusion) for mobbing, Materialized Mechanics (Tech) for Void Erosion Purge, or Mechanics with Colossus damage for bossing. Either way chase Skill Cooldown + Skill Critical Hit Damage.

Core modules

Focus on Non-Attribute is mandatory, then Focus on Fusion or Focus on Tech depending on the build. Maximize Conservation, Amplification Controls (for range), Skill Expansion, Maximize Range, MP Conversion, Conservation, Shot Focus, and Veteran Tactics (chance to reset a cooldown on kill). For gear, 2x Hunter + 2x Ascending is safe; 4x Slayer is the highest skill damage if you can survive it.

Transcendent Module

Shattered Heart is the headline — it’s what flips her fourth skill into Gaze of the Abyss. Run it if you want the gun-build fantasy.

Beginner friendliness: High ceiling, manageable
