Transcendent Weapon Farm Guide: The First Descendant Endgame Chase

Transcendent Weapons are the ultimate chase in The First Descendant. Here is where the loot comes from, what the quality roll means, and how to farm one without burning out.

Transcendent Weapons are the golden-border ultimate weapons — the endgame chase, the flex, and the single largest time investment in The First Descendant.

They are also the most misunderstood part of the endgame, and players burn months of materials farming them wrong. This guide covers where the loot comes from, what the quality roll means, and the farming order that works.

What Transcendent Weapons are

Transcendent Weapons are the highest-tier weapons in the game. They have:

Unique effects — each one has a signature effect no normal weapon has. The Monster Hunter’s Hunter’s Sense, for example, is a mechanic that exists only on that weapon.

A quality roll — Transcendent Weapons drop with a quality value that scales their stats. The current content drops quality 301-400, and the number is random within that range.

A weapon-specific build — each one is designed around a specific playstyle, and the builds that use them are built to amplify that effect.

Where the loot comes from

Onslaught Stage 5. The current primary source. Stage 5 drops Transcendent Weapon Loot at roughly a 10% rate per completion, with quality 301-400. It is the most reliable farm in the game.

The Mega Dungeon (Karel’s Mothership). The Hard difficulty drops Transcendent Weapon Loot, and the dungeon’s other rewards — Ancestor Modules, alignment devices — come from the same runs.

Trials. The roguelite mode drops loot from its legion encounters, and the daily rotation means different dungeons on different days.

Monster kill rewards. Normal and elite monsters have a low chance to drop Transcendent Weapon Loot directly. Low, but not zero — over a long session it adds up.

Event boosts. The game runs Transcendent Weapon acquisition boost events regularly — the current Monster Hunter event raises the acquisition chance by 15%. Farm during events, not between them.

The quality roll

Transcendent Weapons drop with a quality value, and the value is random within the content’s range:

The current range — the current endgame content drops quality 301-400.

What quality does — it scales the weapon’s stats. A quality 400 weapon is meaningfully stronger than a quality 301 of the same type.

The farm implication — you will get duplicates. The second copy with a higher roll replaces the first. The players with the best Transcendent Weapons have run the content dozens of times, not gotten lucky once.

The farming order

1. Onslaught Stage 5. The highest drop rate per run. Clear the highest stage you can, consistently, before touching anything else.

2. The weekly rewards. Every week, the Onslaught weekly guarantees an Ancestor Module with a good option tier plus other materials. The weekly is the floor of your progression — never skip it.

3. The Mega Dungeon on Hard. Slower per run than Onslaught, but the combined loot — weapons, modules, devices — makes it the best all-around farm.

4. Trials. The daily rotation means it is worth running when the dungeon of the day drops what you need. Check before you commit.

5. Everything else during events. The boost events are when the dedicated farming pays. Save your boosters and your time for them.

The mistakes

Farming below your level. The content has to be clearable quickly. A Hard run you barely finish is worse than a Normal run you clear three times.

Chasing a specific weapon. The loot is random. Chase the content, not the weapon — the weapon comes eventually, and the duplicate with a better roll is the real prize.

Burning materials on the wrong weapon. Each Transcendent Weapon needs unique research materials. Commit to one at a time.

Farming without the weekly. The weekly guarantee is the highest-value single reward in the game. A week without it is a week behind.

The realistic timeline

Transcendent Weapons are a months-long chase, not a week-long one. The players who have them:

  • Ran the highest content they could clear, consistently
  • Did every weekly, every week
  • Farmed during boost events
  • Replaced their weapons as better rolls came

The players who burned out tried to force it in a week and spent their materials wrong.

The one thing to remember

Onslaught Stage 5 first, weeklies always, events for the dedicated farming. Transcendent Weapons are a chase built for consistency — the players who have the best ones are not the luckiest, they are the ones who did the same content every week and let the rolls come to them.
