Arena Breakout Infinite Hostile Sector Guide
What Hostile Sector changes compared with a normal raid, which maps run PvE, and how the mode's risk and reward actually balance.
Is Hostile Sector just a normal raid with extra steps? No. It is the Season 6 PvE-focused mode, and what it changes is what can kill you, not how much damage things do. This page covers the mode itself: maps, rules, and whether it fits where you are in the game.
What the mode actually changes
Hostile Sector removes most of the player pressure and replaces it with environment. Dark nights, heavy fog, and blizzards cut visibility, and four Elite types — breachers, snipers, grenadiers, and fumigators — fill the space squads used to occupy. Local Militants are tuned up compared with their Tactical Ops versions.
That is the trade in one line: far fewer players, harsher everything else.
Which maps run which way
Farm and Northridge run as pure PvE inside the mode, and teams cannot damage one another there. TV Station is the exception — it keeps a PvPvE format with reduced player pressure, which means fewer squads rather than no squads.
That distinction decides how you should read the map list. Farm and Northridge are farming environments. TV Station is still a fight.
Loot tiers by map
Farm pays at roughly Lockdown Zone levels. Northridge pays above Lockdown. TV Station, when its rotation is open, sits at Forbidden Zone levels.
If your goal is a specific item tier, that gap decides the map before anything else does. If your goal is a calm session, Farm is the shallow end and TV Station is not.
Who should queue for it
Hostile Sector is not a beginner mode. If you are still learning container spots and extract timings on Normal, the mode will teach you bad habits instead of good ones.
It fits players who already know one of the two PvE maps well enough to walk it without the map open. Map knowledge converts directly into survival here, which is why the mode rewards familiarity more than it rewards gear.
The kit question, in one line
Bring what you can afford to lose, and assume you will. That is the whole principle. The detailed budget math lives on the solo survival page, because it changes once nobody is covering your angle.
Leaving is the objective
Loud fights draw AI reinforcements and, on PvPvE rotations, players. Loot the edges while the map is busy elsewhere, then leave before the crowd rotates your way.
Set an exit condition before you queue — a value threshold or a timer — and honour it when it trips. The extractions guide covers route timing.
Where the deeper pages sit
The mode turns into two separate problems once you are alone:
- The solo survival breakdown covers kits, gear fear, and which fights to refuse.
- The Solo Infiltration guide covers the solo build of the mode, its map limits, and the AI tuning.
- The ticket page explains how entry works without a Koen fee.
Every other format the game runs is covered in the modes guide.
