Brakkesh Loot Routes: Street Fighting Lines
Run Brakkesh loot lines building by building, and move between structures only when you control the street in between.
Brakkesh is a city, and cities fight differently than dams and groves: the loot is dense, the streets are kill zones, and the distance between two lootable buildings is often the most dangerous part of the map. Brakkesh rewards squads that treat movement as the core skill, not looting.
The street problem
On most Hazard Operations maps, the gap between loot areas is downtime. In Brakkesh it is exposure. Streets are long, open, and overlooked by windows on both sides. The map’s central lesson: never cross a street you have not watched, and never let your squad cross in single file.
Loot line framework
| Line | Logic | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Block line | Clear one city block at a time, building by building | Squads with communication |
| Edge line | Work the outer structures inward, avoiding central streets | Quieter runs, solo players |
| Push line | Commit to the contested center early with full kits | Geared players chasing dense loot |
| Hold line | Loot one strong building, defend it, extract when the map clears itself | Patient squads |
The push line and hold line are opposites. Pick one before the raid, not during it.
Building-to-building movement principles
- Watch the street first. Ten seconds of observation beats thirty seconds of sprinting.
- Cross in pairs with spacing. Staggered movement means one ambush does not wipe the squad.
- Use smoke on open crossings. Utility exists to make streets passable; the alternative is trading.
- Enter buildings from cover. Doorways are chokepoints — check corners before you commit.
- Leave the way you came if it is quiet. Known ground beats a shortcut through a street you have never watched.
Loot priority inside structures
- Interiors first: rooms beat rooftops and streets for value density.
- One building fully looted beats three buildings half-looted — partial clears get you killed in doorways.
- Bank high-value finds in your secure case early; a full bag is a slow bag, and slow bags die on streets.
- If you pick up a Mandelbrick, understand the trade: carrying it exposes your position to the whole map while it decodes into rare loot. Carry it only when your squad is ready to fight for it.
Brakkesh sits in the normal-to-hard band — bring gear you can afford to lose, planned with the battle-ready kit budget framework. Engagement calls come down to the tree in when to fight or avoid.
