Space City Loot Routes: Indoor Value Zones
Target Space City's high-value indoor areas, plan for underwater 2.0 zones, and bring SMGs or shotguns built for close rooms.
Space City puts its best loot inside buildings, which makes it a close-quarters map with an interior-combat loadout requirement. Players who bring long-range rifles and avoid rooms farm the lowest-value corners of the map. Plan to go inside — but choose which inside carefully.
Zone framework
| Zone type | Loot character | Combat character |
|---|---|---|
| Office and lab interiors | Dense, high-value spawns | Tight angles; SMG and shotgun range |
| Corridors and stairwells | Low loot, high traffic | Choke points — dangerous to cross |
| Outdoor yards between buildings | Moderate, spread | Open ground; cross quickly or not at all |
| Underwater areas (2.0) | Distinct loot pool, less contested | Timed territory; the mechanic itself is stable even when timings move |
The 2.0 revision added underwater areas. Treat them as a parallel loot layer: fewer players go there, but everything down there runs on a limit you do not control. Plan how long you will stay before you dive, and never dive as your escape route from a fight.
Loadout logic
- SMGs and shotguns dominate the rooms where Space City’s value lives. A kit built for long range is fighting the map.
- Bring ammunition with real penetration. Interior fights against armored players punish low-tier ammo; the ammo types guide explains the tiers.
- Flash and smoke utility matters more here than on open maps — corridors punish fair fights.
- Carry healing you can use in two seconds, not three.
Route framework
- Spawn-side building first. Loot one structure fully, then decide: extract, rotate, or push the next.
- Vertical route. Take the stairs early. Height over a stairwell wins the building.
- Underwater detour. After banking indoor loot, if the raid is quiet, dive for the 2.0 zones — with a time plan, not on impulse.
- Rotate between buildings under cover. Use yards only after you have watched them for ten seconds.
Common mistakes on Space City
- Clearing a building you did not need to clear. Space City’s interiors are magnetic: every room you enter is a room another squad enters behind you.
- Treating yards as safe space. They are open ground between windows, not cover.
- Diving with a half-empty bag. The underwater areas reward a time plan and punish impulse.
- Fighting in stairwells without utility. Corridors punish fair fights, and the squad carrying smoke decides the terms.
Space City is an intermediate map: expect geared, experienced players in every wing. Budget your kit with the battle-ready kit budget framework, and make fight-or-flight calls in tight corridors using when to fight or avoid. Extraction from an indoor map has its own logic — see Space City extraction points.
