Space City Extraction: Indoor Route Framework
Choose extraction routes in Space City by mapping exits before you loot, and rotate through cover instead of open corridors.
Extracting from Space City is an interior-navigation problem. Your exit is rarely where the loot is, and the route between them runs through the corridors and stairwells other players are camping. The fix is boring and effective: decide the exit before the raid starts.
Pick the exit before you loot
At spawn, open the map and do three things:
- Identify the extraction points and their rough activation conditions — some are always open, some require an action or timer, and specifics can change between seasons, so verify in-game.
- Mark the closest exit and one backup in the opposite direction.
- Check which building you spawned in relative to both. If your loot route drags you away from every exit, you will pay for it at minute fifteen.
Route selection framework
| Exit situation | Route logic |
|---|---|
| Nearest exit is quiet | Standard route: loot, then walk out along your arrival path — known ground |
| Nearest exit sounds active | Rotate to the backup early, while you still have healing |
| Both nearby exits are hot | Loot one wing, then move low and slow to the far exit |
| Unsure | Take the exit you arrived near; familiarity beats distance |
Movement rules for indoor extraction
- Cover to cover, room to room. Never cross a corridor you have not cleared or watched.
- Stairs are decisions, not defaults. Going up gives height but traps you; going down is faster and riskier.
- Move after fights end, not during. The winner of a corridor fight is the next target of everyone who heard it.
- Split vision. One squadmate watches the extraction approach, one watches behind. Single-file squads die single-file deaths.
- Slow is fast. A quiet two-minute walk beats a sprint into an ambush you never see coming.
Timing
- Extract when bag value beats kit replacement cost — the same threshold that works on every map.
- After a won interior fight, rotate or extract. Standing in a building you just cleared is standing in a building everyone now knows about.
- If you used the 2.0 underwater areas, extract before your time limit runs low rather than after — the trip home is the most dangerous part of the dive.
Space City’s loot logic lives in Space City loot routes, and the general extraction principles in Zero Dam extraction points apply here too. If you are still building map sense, the maps overview explains where Space City sits in the difficulty ladder. All exit conditions and timings are patch-sensitive, so confirm them on the map screen before you commit a route.
