Tide Prison Loot: Is Your Gear Good Enough?
Decide whether your loadout justifies a Tide Prison run, and loot the highest-value zones only when armor and ammo support it.
Tide Prison is the hard-rated, high-reward map in Hazard Operations. Its loot is among the best the mode offers, and that is exactly why it attracts the best-geared players. Entering with a budget kit is not brave; it is a donation. This page is a gate: it defines what “ready” means before you spend a loadout here.
The gear gate
Run Tide Prison only when all of the following are true:
- Armor you can replace twice. Bring a tier you are comfortable losing in back-to-back raids, and confirm current armor tiers in-game before committing.
- Ammo with real penetration. The players here wear armor, and low-tier ammo turns won fights into lost ones.
- Healing for a sustained fight. Enough for a squad-level engagement plus a bad extraction, not two bandages.
- A secure case already loaded. Tide Prison’s best loot dies with you unless it fits the case; prioritize what goes in with the secure case priority framework.
- A budget you can lose. If losing this kit breaks your bank, you are not ready — the broke-recovery plan exists because everyone goes broke once.
If any line fails, farm Zero Dam or Layali Grove until it passes.
Zone risk framework
| Zone type | Reward | Risk | Entry condition |
|---|---|---|---|
| Outer areas and approaches | Moderate | Medium | Standard kit |
| Interior prison blocks | High | Very high — contained spaces, few exits | Full squad, comms, exit plan |
| Contested high-value rooms | Highest | Extreme — everyone comes here | Geared squad ready to fight immediately |
The interior is where Tide Prison’s economy lives, and it is built like a funnel: contained rooms, connected corridors, limited ways out. Enter with an exit direction already chosen, or you will pick one under fire.
Loot behavior
- Loot fast, not thorough. A cleared wing is a known wing; a half-looted wing still pulls players in.
- Bank rare finds in the secure case the moment you find them.
- If you carry a Mandelbrick, expect company — it exposes your position map-wide while it decodes.
- Extract the moment your bag beats your kit cost. On a map this dangerous, “one more room” is statistically how good loot dies.
Insurance note
High-value Tide Prison kits are where insurance earns its keep, but payout rules change between seasons — read the current terms in-game before you commit currency. The insurance page covers the decision framework.
Extraction from a funnel-shaped map needs its own planning — see Tide Prison extraction points. If the gear gate fails, the maps overview will point you somewhere survivable.
