Tide Prison Extraction: Prison Layout Risks
Extract from Tide Prison by treating the prison structure as a funnel: know your exit direction before the shooting starts.
Tide Prison’s structure is the extraction problem. Contained blocks, connected corridors, and limited perimeter access mean your exit is usually on the far side of the building you are standing in — and everyone between you and it had the same idea. Plan the exit as part of the loot route, not as an afterthought.
Understand the funnel
- Interior blocks hold the loot and the players. They are connected, which means gunfire in one wing is audible — and therefore magnetic — in the next.
- Corridors are the map’s chokepoints. Most deaths happen moving between contained spaces, not inside them.
- Perimeter access is limited compared to open maps. Fewer exits exist, and the ones that do attract camping.
The practical consequence: your extraction decision is made when you enter the interior, not when you finish looting. Pick the wing and the direction of travel before you touch a container.
Exit framework
- At spawn, identify the extraction points and their activation conditions. Extraction conditions vary — some are static, some need an action or a timer — and they shift between seasons, so confirm in-game.
- Mark a primary exit on the side of the prison your loot route will end near.
- Mark a backup in the opposite direction for the day the primary is camped.
- Tell your squad both, out loud, before the first fight.
Extraction timing in a hard map
| Situation | Correct move |
|---|---|
| Bag beats kit cost | Leave. No exceptions on a hard-rated map |
| You won a fight in the interior | Extract or rotate one wing — standing still invites the next squad |
| Nearby gunfire, bag is good | Move to cover and listen; do not sprint toward the exit |
| Squadmate down near the exit | Decide fast: revive under smoke or leave. Both are valid; dithering is not |
| A timed exit is available | Treat it as a public event — expect crowds and board early |
Movement discipline
- Move between wings only when you know who is in the corridor.
- Use utility on chokepoints rather than trading through them.
- Keep one player facing backwards during extraction runs; pursuers are common because the map funnels traffic.
- If you must cross open ground inside the prison, cross it once and decisively. Hesitation in the open is the Tide Prison killer.
The gear gate for entering this map at all lives in Tide Prison loot routes. If your bank cannot support it yet, the broke-recovery plan and a steady Zero Dam farm are the honest alternatives. The general principles behind these exits are laid out on the Zero Dam extraction page. Conditions and timings are patch-sensitive, so confirm the exit you are routing toward on the raid’s own map screen before you commit — the route that worked last season may now cost a fee or a wait.
