Zero Dam Loot Routes: Dam Zone vs Stable Camps
Weigh the dam zone's high-risk loot against stable camp income, and set an exit threshold before you drop into Zero Dam.
Zero Dam is the recommended first Hazard Operations map: loot sits close together, and the layout can be learned in a handful of raids. The mistake new players make is treating the map as one uniform loot field. It is two economies — a small high-risk core and a wide stable ring — and each one rewards a different plan.
The two economies of Zero Dam
| Zone type | Risk | Loot style | Who should run it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dam structure and immediate core | High — a popular PvP hotspot | Dense, high-value spawns | Geared players with an exit plan |
| Camps and outbuildings | Moderate to low | Lower value, consistent income | Beginners, broke players, quiet looters |
The dam area concentrates loot in a compact space, which also concentrates players. Expect contact there in the opening minutes. The camp ring trades value for peace: your backpack fills slower, but it stays full.
A three-line route framework
- Quiet line (default). Camps on your spawn side first. Loot two or three buildings, bank the value, then decide whether to push the core.
- Greed line. Straight to the dam core with a full kit and healing. Loot fast, leave fast, and do not fight for a second building.
- Hybrid line. Camps until the bag is half full, then extract — or make one core attempt if the map has gone quiet.
Do not freelance between lines mid-raid. Indecision kills more Zero Dam runs than any player does.
Extraction timing
- Extract when your bag value exceeds what your kit costs to replace — a simple, honest threshold.
- Extract right after a won core fight. The winner of a loud fight is everyone’s next target.
- Extract before the bag is “full” if the secure case is already loaded with the good stuff.
- If you spawned late or the raid feels hot, run the quiet line and leave early.
Loadout notes
Zero Dam mixes indoor rooms and open ground, so a versatile rifle earns its slot. Ammo penetration matters against armored players; the ammo types guide explains the tiers. Carry healing you can use in two seconds and bind the key before you drop. If your bankroll is thin, the camp ring is a farm, not a gamble — the broke-recovery plan builds from exactly this kind of steady income.
