VALORANT Hush: New Duelist Abilities and Unlock
Hush is VALORANT's 30th agent and ninth Duelist, out with Patch 13.09. Her full kit — Displacement, Flashbulb, Flow, Suspension — and how to unlock her.
Hush arrived in VALORANT with Patch 13.09, released October 27, 2026, as the game’s 30th agent and ninth Duelist. She is a telekinesis user from Guangdong, China, and the first agent released after Riot launched the Performance Score system — which means her early matches may show uneven utility scoring while Riot tunes what “good” looks like. This guide covers her confirmed kit and how to unlock her without spending VP.
The full agent roster and the free unlock paths cover the rest of the roster.
What makes Hush different
Most agents throw utility and hope it lands. Hush’s signature idea is that she keeps steering her utility after it leaves her hand — Displacement and Flashbulb can both be redirected toward her crosshair, and her ultimate is steered the same way. That makes her utility harder for defenders to read and gives her strong entry and retake potential.
The full kit
- Telekinesis (Passive): Hush can pick up weapons and the Spike (on attack) and interact with switches from an increased range. It is a utility passive, not an activatable ability.
- Displacement (Signature, E): Throw a device, or hold alt-fire to prepare it, then reactivate to send it toward your crosshair. It explodes on a surface or after a delay, pulling every player toward its center and concussing anyone who collides with a surface or another player. It resets every two kills, so a strong opening duel hands it back for the retake.
- Flashbulb (Q): A flash that can be prepared with alt-fire and redirected after you throw it. It detonates on a surface or after a delay and blinds anyone looking at it — throw it wide and bend it around a corner so defenders cannot read it from the original throw.
- Flow (C): Drop an anchor and, after a short delay, propel Hush toward it. Cast while airborne and she briefly levitates in place first. It suits a planned swing more than a panic escape.
- Suspension (Ultimate, X): Send a projectile forward, steer it with your crosshair, then detonate to levitate every player caught inside. It does not check teams — the field lifts whoever is standing in it, so a teammate caught in the radius goes up with the defenders.
How she is meant to play
Displacement groups enemies and stuns them in one cast, which pairs well with area damage from Jett, Raze, Brimstone, or KAY/O. Flashbulb bends around cover the way Phoenix’s curveball wishes it could. Because her tools reward setup, Hush fits players who already think a step ahead of the entry rather than insta-dueling.
Three mistakes the ability text hides
The kit reads simply and plays with three traps that only show up in real rounds.
Displacement does not stun on contact — it stuns on collision. The pull grabs everyone near the centre, but the concussion only lands if the target then hits a surface or another player. In the open, the ability is a repositioning tool for the enemy rather than a stun, which is why it is strongest thrown into a room with walls and boxes rather than across a lane.
Suspension lifts your own team too. It is a denial tool, not a pick tool. Dropped on a defuse it buys the round from a distance, the way a Sova ultimate does, because Hush steers it after it leaves her hand. Dropped on a site your team is entering, it takes your entry off the board as well.
Flow needs the anchor down first. The anchor is placed before the dash, and there is a delay before it pulls you, so casting it mid-fight is a losing trade. Set it before you peek, not after you get shot at.
How to unlock Hush free
Hush is not a free starter, but she is reachable free through the 28-day Agent Recruitment Event that opened with Patch 13.09: earn 200,000 XP during the window and she is yours, though Kingdom Credits and Free Agent Tokens are switched off for her during the event. Otherwise she costs 1,000 VP or 8,000 Kingdom Credits, or a Free Agent Token. Our agent unlock guide walks through every path.
