Most new Operators die in Arena Breakout: Infinite not because they miss shots, but because they treat it like a normal shooter. The only win condition is extraction. You gear up, enter a raid, loot, survive AI and players, then leave with your bag. Die before you extract and you lose everything you carried, except what sits in your Secure Container guide.

How the extraction loop works

Team Jade and Tencent built ABI as a more accessible take on the extraction genre. Think of it as a cousin of Tarkov, but tuned for a wider PC audience. The skill gap is real, but the loop is simple. You are not trying to get the most kills. You are trying to leave alive with value.

Why cheap kits win early

The biggest early mistake is bringing a kit you cannot afford to lose. New players strap on their best gear, walk into a raid, and get wiped on the first intersection. Then they rage and repeat. Instead, run cheap. A budget rifle with good ammo will out-perform an expensive gun firing weak rounds. Your goal for the first ten raids is learning, not profit.

Pick one map and learn extracts

Pick one map and learn it cold. Farm map guide covers the starter map and the right place to begin. Learn where the extracts are before you care about loot. Know two or three exit routes so you can leave the moment a fight turns bad.

Use PvE modes to practice

Use the PvE modes to build confidence. Covert Ops gives you a free low-level run with no gear risk. Secure Ops reduces what you can lose. These are training wheels, not crutches, and they teach map layouts without the brutal Normal-mode pressure.

Check the in-game market before every raid. Prices swing, and a round that was cheap yesterday may be pricey today. Keep a stack of high-penetration ammo in your Secure Container so you always have a fighting chance.

Remember this: in ABI the only score that matters is the extraction, so leave early and live to loot again.
