Arena Breakout Disconnected? Never Click Abandon
What to do after an Arena Breakout: Infinite disconnect: never abandon, reconnect in place, and how to prevent drops in the first place
A disconnect mid-raid is terrifying when your loadout is on the line. The instinct is to open the menu and hit Abandon. Do not. In Arena Breakout: Infinite, abandoning after a disconnect deletes your equipped loadout and your loot. Reconnecting is almost always the better move.
The rule
If the game drops, reconnect. Rejoining restores your operator in place, and you can still extract with time left on the clock. Abandoning from the main menu throws everything away instantly.
This applies to network drops, desync errors during weather events, and crashes. The reconnect path preserves the raid.
Prevention
Most disconnects trace back to the connection, not the game:
- Play on a wired connection when you can.
- Close background apps that eat bandwidth, especially streaming and large downloads.
- Keep the game and your network drivers updated.
- If drops cluster on one server, switch regions from the server selection screen.
Weather events are the heaviest network load in the game. If your connection is unstable, avoid Storm Warning windows with your best gear.
What is safe and what resets
Permanent progression is protected. Seasonal transitions do not wipe your Koen, your weapons, or your stash. Your account level and unlocked mechanics persist.
Only seasonal questlines and rented seasonal containers reset. Everything you extract permanently builds your bankroll.
If you lost the raid anyway
If a raid truly ends, check what you insured. Insured gear comes back through the insurance system even when you die. Uninsured, unsecured items are gone.
Then adjust. If disconnects keep happening on the same server, move. If they happen everywhere, fix the connection before the next expensive run.
Disconnect mistakes that delete your own loot
- Clicking Abandon after a disconnect and deleting the loadout.
- Assuming a season reset wipes your stash. It does not.
- Running expensive kits through unstable weather events on Wi-Fi.
If the disconnect came with a code, the error codes page maps it to a cause; the insurance guide covers what you can recover after a lost kit.
