Arena Breakout Infinite Encrypted File: What It Does

Encrypted Files are quest items in Arena Breakout Infinite. Learn where they spawn, which tasks want them, and when to sell instead of hoarding.

Players loot an Encrypted File, see a fat market price, and sell it on the spot. Two days later a mission asks for one and they are back to farming. That is the trap with quest loot.

What Encrypted Files are

Encrypted Files are mission items. They exist to complete specific tasks, not to fill your stash. If a task is asking for one, the file is worth more in your backpack than on the market. The mission pays out on completion.

Where to find them

They spawn as loose loot in the places that make sense for data: offices, key rooms, and containers inside buildings. Spawns are not guaranteed in any single room, so you find them by looting completely rather than camping one spot. The key locations page lists the locked rooms worth opening. The farm loot routes page shows a loop that hits loot-dense ground on the starter map.

Why they exist

Quest items gate progression on purpose. The game wants you in raids with a reason beyond loot. An Encrypted File turns a random farm run into a mission run. It also gives the map a reason to exist for players who do not enjoy PvP.

That design also means the files are not rare by accident. They are common enough to find on a normal looting loop and specific enough that you notice when a task wants one.

Farming them faster

Loot completely. Files hide in the containers you skip when you rush — desks, jackets, toolboxes, and the corners of offices. A fast route that ignores half the containers will always feel like the drop rate is broken.

Key rooms pay double because they hold better loot pools in general. Open what you can afford, and check the room before you leave it.

The decision rule

Open your task list before every sale. If a mission wants the file, keep it. If nothing does, check the market price and sell into a spike.

Quest items gather dust fast, and dust pays nothing. The missions guide page explains how to track which tasks are active so you never sell the wrong item.

Remember this: search your tasks before you sell anything with a quest-sounding name.
