ARC Raiders Tempest: Blueprint Drops and Crafting

Where the ARC Raiders Tempest blueprint drops, what the gun is, and the Gunsmith recipe and upgrades to craft it.

The Tempest is a fully automatic, Medium Ammo assault rifle with a 25-round magazine and a listed 10 base damage with moderate ARC armor penetration. It uses magnetic-acceleration technology and is a strong, farmable workhorse rather than a rare drop.

Where the blueprint drops

The Tempest blueprint is a condition-specific drop, not a fixed container spawn. The documented sources are:

  • Night Raid — search Residential containers in Buried City, and Residential containers around the Stella Montis Lobby and Security Wing.
  • Hurricane — First Wave Caches (the elite hurricane caches), which also carry other purple blueprints.

No single crate, drawer, or locked chest guarantees it; the listed areas simply have dense eligible containers, so you check more of them per raid. The blueprint itself is a Common item worth about 5,000 coins. A finished Tempest can appear as loot in a raid, but that does not unlock the crafting recipe — only the learned blueprint does.

How to farm it

Run Night Raid on a map where you know several residential interiors (Buried City’s linked housing, or Stella Montis’s Lobby/Security Wing) and inspect containers rather than only weapon crates. Alternatively, hunt First Wave Caches during a Hurricane and listen for their distinct electric sound. Put any Tempest schematic into a Safe Pocket, extract, then Learn and Consume it in Speranza — that makes the recipe permanent.

Crafting recipe (Tempest I)

At a Gunsmith Level 3 station, Tempest I needs:

  • 1 × Magnetic Accelerator
  • 3 × Medium Gun Parts
  • 2 × Exodus Modules

Each crafted rifle consumes those materials again, but the blueprint stays learned. Upgrades I → II → III → IV each consume the previous tier plus Advanced Mechanical Components and Medium Gun Parts, improving horizontal recoil recovery and reload time. You cannot skip straight from I to IV.

The Night Raid conditions that drop this blueprint are covered in the Buried City loot and Stella Montis loot pages, and the container types are explained in the loot container guide.
