ARC Raiders Loot Containers: What Every Crate Drops

Every loot container in ARC Raiders, what it drops, which need keys or the Security Breach perk, and which events raise loot value.

In ARC Raiders you get most of your gear from containers, not from killing machines. Knowing which box pays out and which needs a key or a perk is the difference between a full bag and a wasted raid. This page lists every container type, what it drops, and the two gates (keys and the Security Breach perk) that stand in front of the best ones.

Lockers

Lockers are the most common container and come in three kinds:

  • Red lockers — 1–4 items, and recipes can drop here.
  • Teal lockers — trinkets (the diamond-marked items that sell for surprising amounts) show up here.
  • Security lockers — these must be breached. You need the Security Breach perk from the Conditioning branch of the skill tree. Once breached they pay out ammo (light, medium, heavy, shotgun), every grenade type, weapon parts, and a long list of weapons: Ferro, Kettle, Stitcher, Rattler, Hairpin, Burletta, Arpeggio, Anvil, IL Toro, Osprey, Venator, Torrente, Renegade, Vulcano, Bobcat, Tempest, Bettina. Blueprints drop here too, but very rarely.

Key rooms: where the real loot lives

The best containers are locked behind doors that need keys. On the official wiki the high-value containers cluster in key rooms:

  • Weapon Case (key room) — 3–6 weapon-related items, always 1 weapon (100%), 1–2 ammo stacks, 0–1 gun part, and a chance at a blueprint.
  • Medical Duffel Bag (key room) — 2–5 medical items.
  • Grenade Case (key room) — 2–4 grenades, 0–2 explosives.
  • Ammo Case (key room and barricaded rooms) — 2–5 different ammo types, and recipes.

Every map has its own keys (see the keycard guide and each map’s loot page: Dam, Buried City, Spaceport, Blue Gate, Stella Montis, Riven Tides). A key that opens one door on a map is usually worth carrying if your route passes it.

The rest of the containers

  • Metal Crate — 1–4 items.
  • Server Rack / Electrical Box — must be breached; 1–4 electrical items, generally higher rarity, and recipes.
  • Drawer / Coffee Maker — 2–4 items; household, topside, and trinket items are most common.
  • Computer — 1–3 electrical items.
  • Cars — loot sits in the back seats, usually common parts, 1 industrial battery, sometimes lightbulbs. Cars with a flashing red light on the driver side have an alarm — open them and you announce yourself.
  • Trucks — 2–4 items plus 1 synthesized fuel.
  • Buried Raider Cache — you hear a ticking timer when one is nearby. It drops 3–7 items and 2–4 ammo. These show up far more often during the Uncovered Caches event.

Events that change what you find

Not every raid drops the same. Two events raise loot value across the map:

  • Night Raid — increased loot value, but fewer return points and no raider hatches, so more ARC and more risk.
  • Electromagnetic Storm — increased loot value plus lightning that damages you and fries electronics.

Other event-driven loot:

  • Uncovered Caches — storms unearth old raider caches, but they are rigged to explode if exposed too long. Grab and go.
  • Husk Graveyard — ARC machines drop in large numbers on their own; it is the best window to gather parts and information from husks.
  • Launch Tower Loot (Spaceport only), Hidden Bunker (Spaceport), and Locked Gate (Blue Gate) are map-specific vaults explained on those maps’ loot pages.

The Queen drops the best ARC materials

The Queen is the six-legged boss that guards Harvesters. Looting it yields the main debris pool: ARC Alloy, Advanced ARC Powercell, ARC Motion Core, ARC Circuitry, ARC Coolant, ARC Flex Rubber, ARC Thermo Lining, ARC Synthetic Resin, ARC Performance Steel, Advanced Mechanical and Electrical Components, Magnetic Accelerator, and the Queen Reactor. The smaller debris pool drops most of the same minus a few. You get 1000 XP for the core and 500 XP per part.

What to do with it

Once the bag is full, the loot priority page tells you what is worth extracting with and what to sell, and the Safe Pocket guide covers the slot that survives death.
