ARC Raiders Dam Battlegrounds Loot: Reliable Starter Runs

Dam Battlegrounds (often just “The Dam”) is the first map you unlock, and the official wiki calls it a “reliable source of valuable loot.” It is built from swamps, drained lakes, old machinery, research buildings, and ramshackle hydroponic domes. For a new Raider it is the safest place to learn container routes before the harder maps punish mistakes.

Where the loot clusters

The dense spots are the research buildings, the Dam structures, and the hydroponic domes. Those are the areas the wiki singles out as the reliable loot source, and they are also where you will find most key-locked doors. Spread-out loot (cars, trucks, drawers) is scattered across the map, but the bag-filling containers are indoors.

Keys worth carrying

Dam has four keys, each opening a door to a high-value room:

• Dam Surveillance Key — Water Treatment Control building.
• Dam Staff Room Key — Research and Administration building.
• Dam Control Center Tower Key — Control Center Tower.
• Dam Testing Annex Key — two doors inside the Testing Annex.

Key rooms are where Weapon Cases, Medical Duffel Bags, and Ammo Cases show up (see the container guide for what those drop). Carry all four if your route threads the buildings.

When loot value goes up

Community-reported event windows for Dam (UTC times are community-sourced and pending official confirmation — see research/real-sources.md §A3):

• Night Raid (Major) at 02, 08, and 14 UTC — increased loot value, but fewer return points and no raider hatches.
• Electromagnetic Storm (Major) at 05, 11, 17, and 23 UTC — increased loot value plus lightning damage.
• Matriarch (Minor) at 00 and 20 UTC — the rotating boss event, which also cycles to Spaceport and Blue Gate. Worth hitting if you are geared for a fight.

In every other hour Dam runs Prospecting Probes, Harvester, Uncovered Caches, Husk Graveyard, or Lush Blooms, which are fine for steady farming but do not boost value.

How to run it

Start on a Free Loadout and learn the building layouts on a quiet hour, then push key rooms during a Night Raid or Storm window when the bag is worth the risk.
