BF6 Dead Space Event: How to Play Marker Incursion
Dead Space: Convergence in Battlefield 6 — how to join Marker Incursion, what Marker Shrines do, where the Pulse Rifle is, and how Semiconductors work.
The Dead Space crossover in Battlefield 6 is called Dead Space: Convergence, and it’s a limited-time Halloween event built around a non-canon “what if”. Pax Armata digs through Area 51 looking for weapons and finds a Marker instead.
Everything you do happens inside Marker Incursion, a 16-player PvE mode. Here’s how to get into it and what to do once you’re there.
1. Update the game first
The event requires Battlefield 6 or Battlefield REDSEC with all current updates installed. If the event tile isn’t showing up, that’s almost always the reason.
2. Find the event tile
Marker Incursion isn’t in the normal multiplayer rotation. Look for the event entry on the main menu, or in the mode list alongside the other limited-time playlists.
3. Learn the two targets
Two things matter in a run:
- Marked Soldiers — AI-controlled troops driven mad by the Marker. They’re the wave you fight through.
- Marker Shrines — smaller replicas built by the affected. They strengthen the Marker’s grip on the area, so destroying them is what keeps your push moving.
Kill the soldiers, break the shrines, push toward the source.
4. Stay with your squad
It’s a 16-player co-op mode against waves. Spreading out is how you get overwhelmed in a corridor and lose the run.
Stick together, and favour classes that sustain the group — ammo, healing and revives beat long-range sniping when the enemy is coming to you. The classes guide covers which roles do that best.
5. Grab the DS-23 Pulse Rifle
The Pulse Rifle makes its Battlefield debut here as a Battle Pickup inside Marker Incursion. Pick it up whenever you see it — it’s the event’s signature weapon and the reason to replay.
It also appears in Battle Royale and Rapid Royale while the event is live. You’re not limited to one mode if you want time with it.
6. Collect Semiconductors
Semiconductors are the limited-time event currency. You earn them by completing event challenges, by killing Marked Soldiers in Marker Incursion, and by finding them across Battle Royale and Rapid Royale.
REDSEC is free to play if you’d rather not pay. The REDSEC guide and Rapid Royale guide cover both modes.
7. Spend them before the event ends
Rewards are themed: the Aegis VII soldier skin, an SMG weapon package, weapon stickers, soldier patches and a player card background, plus store bundles.
EA hasn’t published the exact requirement for every reward, so check the event tab in-game for what each one costs.
8. Check the clock
The event is limited-time and the end date lives in the in-game event tab. Don’t assume a date you read in an article is still the one on your screen.
The mode is set on Area 51. There’s a desert base on the surface and tunnels underneath, and most of the close fighting happens below ground.
