The October 10, 2025 base game launch

The base game dropped on October 10, 2025 across consoles and PC. You did not need a pre-order code to play on day one.

PC players buy through Steam, the EA app, or Epic. All three versions share the same servers and maps, so your store choice does not lock you out of friends.

Two paid tiers exist. Standard costs $69.99 and includes the full game. Phantom costs $99.99 and bundles extra cosmetics plus early access perks — check the EA store for the exact bundle in your region.

RedSec and Season 1 Rogue Ops on October 28

A free mode arrived later. RedSec, the battle royale, launched on October 28, 2025 at no extra cost. Season 1 “Rogue Ops” also began that day, adding the Blackwell Fields map and a 4v4 mode.

Cross-play lets console and PC squads queue together, though you can limit it in settings. Post-launch maps arrive on a seasonal cadence — the in-client roadmap is the only schedule that reflects a slipped date.

Pre-loading before day one

Day-one servers were busy, as expected for a launch. Digital buyers got a pre-load window before the 10th, so check your library if the download looks short. Phantom edition early access is the main reason to pre-order — confirm the exact window on the EA store.

The game is a full-price title, not free-to-play. RedSec is the only free mode and sits outside the core purchase. Console players on Series X|S and PS5 got the same nine launch maps as PC. Price and edition details vary by region, so always confirm at checkout.

Not sure which edition fits? Standard is the safe pick for most players. Phantom only matters if you want the cosmetic bundle and early access. Check the EA store for what your region includes before paying more.

Want the full mode list? The modes overview covers Conquest, Breakthrough, Rush, and the newer Escalation and Sabotage. If battle royale is your thing, the RedSec guide explains drop spots.

New to the fight? The beginner walkthrough shows the four classes and the Kinesthetic Combat System. Check the EA store for current regional pricing before you buy.
