How to Turn Off Crossplay in Delta Force

Disable cross-platform matchmaking per platform and weigh the queue trade-offs before you play.

Crossplay merges the PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and mobile player pools into one matchmaking pool. That means fuller lobbies and shorter queues — and it means your opponents may be on very different hardware. Turning it off is a per-platform setting, and the trade-off is always the same: a smaller pool of players who look more like you.

Where the toggle lives

The matchmaking or gameplay settings contain a crossplay option on each platform, though the exact label and location can move between patches. If you cannot find it, search the settings menu for “crossplay” or “cross-platform” — the toggle moves between the account and gameplay tabs depending on the build. Some modes may not offer the choice at all.

Platform-by-platform breakdown

PC. The largest pool and the reference experience. Turning crossplay off removes console and mobile players from your lobbies. Expect longer queues, especially in less-populated modes and off-peak hours, and remember that PC already contains the widest skill range in the game.

PlayStation and Xbox. Crossplay keeps queues short on consoles, where the pool is smaller. Turning it off gives you a controller-only population — a more even input playing field, at the cost of wait times. Console hardware runs the same content as PC at its own performance tier, so hardware differences exist but are narrower than PC-versus-mobile.

Mobile. The smallest pool and the most hardware variance. Crossplay off means mobile-only matches, which usually means touch or gyro opponents instead of controller players. Queue times are the most sensitive to this choice, so expect the biggest wait increase here.

Trade-off summary

Before you flip it

Decide what you are optimizing. If your problem is input mismatch — a mouse against your controller — turning crossplay off addresses it directly. If your problem is skill, no pool setting fixes that; picking the right mode or running the daily training drills will do more.

Voice chat across platforms is a separate setting with its own privacy defaults per system; if teammates go silent after you change matchmaking, see the crossplay voice guide. Account and progress sharing between platforms is yet another topic, covered in cross-progression.
