The Mog Warfare Map Guide: Mogadishu Street Fighting

Work the push-cart objective block by block, use buildings for cover, and call targets for the UH-60 support runs.

The Mog drops you into dense old-city street fighting where the objective moves and the buildings are the map. Two features define it: a push-cart objective that plays like a tug of war along a route, and UH-60 helicopter runs that provide suppression from above for whichever team is moving the cart. This is an infantry map first — vehicles and air support exist to serve the street fight, not to replace it.

The push-cart objective

The cart moves when your team is near it and the enemy is not, so the fight is a slow war of presence along the cart’s route.

  • Escort, do not chase. The cart only advances if players stay on it. A squad that runs ahead to clear leaves the cart undefended and it stops.
  • Clear the route, then move the cart. Advance block by block: clear the buildings overlooking the cart’s path first, then push. Moving the cart into uncleared ground is how you lose it.
  • Defend from the buildings flanking the route. The cart’s path has structures on both sides; the team holding those buildings controls the cart’s movement.
  • Reset together. If the enemy stalls your push, fall back to the last block you fully cleared and re-enter as a group.

Street fighting rules

The Mog’s streets are narrow and its buildings connect, which makes it close-quarters infantry territory.

  1. Stay off the street centers. Move wall to wall and use doorways and windows as cover; the middle of the street is the most-watched space on the map.
  2. Clear interiors before rooftops. A player on a rooftop you have not cleared can shoot down onto you while you fight in the street.
  3. Smoke the intersections. The junctions where the cart route crosses side streets are the most contested points on the map; smoke buys the crossing.
  4. Listen for the cart. The cart makes noise as it moves, which tells you where the enemy push is even when you cannot see it.

Using the UH-60 support

The helicopter is a support tool, not a win button. Its value is suppression: keeping enemy heads down while infantry takes ground.

  • Infantry should call targets. Point out clusters, rooftop positions, and vehicles for the helicopter rather than leaving the crew to guess.
  • Move while it suppresses. A suppression run only helps if your squad is advancing during it.
  • Helicopter crews should stay low and behind cover where possible, and land to rearm rather than hovering exposed.
  • If the enemy has air superiority, keep spacing between buildings so one rocket cannot take the squad.

Squad shape for The Mog

A workable split for the cart push: two players escorting the cart, one clearing flanking buildings, one watching the rear street, and one with recon tools or a marksman rifle watching the route ahead from an elevated window. The infantry classes page breaks down which class fills each slot, the vehicle guide covers helicopter handling, and the attack and defend guide explains the push-and-reset rhythm the cart demands.
