THE FINALS Battle Pass: Free vs Premium vs Ultimate (2026)
The THE FINALS battle pass has a free track for everyone, a Premium pass for 1,150 Multibucks, and an Ultimate DLC. What each one gives you
Every player gets the free battle pass in THE FINALS automatically. The question is whether the paid tiers are worth it, and the answer changed with Season 12. Here is exactly what each tier contains and when to buy.
The three tiers
Free: everyone has it. You earn XP from matches and contracts and claim rewards as you level.
Premium: costs 1,150 Multibucks in game. It includes up to 106 rewards and the chance to earn 1,650 Multibucks back through the pass itself.
Ultimate: sold as DLC in your platform store, bundled at about 30 dollars on Steam as of October 2026. It contains everything in Premium. It adds 12 extra rewards, 20 instant levels, and a 25 percent Match XP boost for the whole season. Total payout is 2,650 Multibucks, with 1,000 of them paid up front.
Is Premium worth it
If you play several times a week, Premium pays for itself. The pass hands back up to 1,650 Multibucks, which is more than the 1,150 you spent. You effectively get the rewards for free and keep a Multibucks surplus.
Ultimate is a different calculation. You are paying for the XP boost and the cosmetics. If you play daily and finish the pass, the boost fills the levels you would have ground anyway. If you play twice a week, skip it.
Rules that catch people out
- Unclaimed free rewards expire when the season ends. Claim them weekly.
- If you buy Premium late, it unlocks every reward for levels you already reached.
- Ultimate rewards require you to log in at least once after buying, before the season ends.
- Levels above 96 carry over to the next season, so a late upgrade still has value.
- Upgrading from Premium to Ultimate refunds the 1,150 Multibucks you spent.
Legacy passes
Old passes return as Legacy Battle Passes three seasons after their debut. With Season 12, the Season 9 pass joined that lineup. A Legacy pass costs 1,150 Multibucks but contains no Multibucks inside. You buy its items with Show Tokens earned by playing, and you can hold 50 at a time.
Battle pass mistakes at season rollover
- Letting free rewards expire at the season rollover.
- Buying Ultimate in the last week of a season.
- Assuming a Legacy pass pays Multibucks back. It does not.
The free track pays more than players expect, and the free cosmetics page lists every route beside it; the currencies page explains what the paid tier actually unlocks.
