How to Play Chamber in Valorant

Chamber is a Sentinel who plays like a sniper. His kit gives him a pocket pistol, a teleport escape, and a heavy sniper rifle, which makes him the strongest agent for holding long angles and then disappearing before the enemy can trade.

Chamber’s Role: The Sniper Sentinel

Chamber’s job is to take a long angle, win the duel, and teleport out. Where other Sentinels hold a site with traps, Chamber holds it with aim and an escape plan. He rewards confident snipers and punishes players who panic. See our Valorant roles explained guide for how Sentinels anchor a defense.

Chamber’s Abilities Explained

Trademark (Basic)

200 credits · 1 charge · 30-second recall cooldown · C

A deployed device that reveals and slows enemies who enter its radius. Use it as a flank alarm or to cover the lane behind the angle you are holding.

Headhunter (Basic)

100 credits per bullet · 8 rounds max · Q

A heavy pocket pistol that Chamber equips instead of his primary. It is accurate and hits hard, making it a genuine threat in the hands of a player with good crosshair placement.

Rendezvous (Signature)

1 charge · free signature · 30-second cooldown · E

Chamber places two anchors and can teleport between them. This is his entire identity: take the shot, then teleport before the trade lands.

Tour De Force (Ultimate)

8 ultimate points · X

Chamber summons a powerful sniper rifle that slows enemies it hits. It is one of the strongest defensive ultimates in the game for shutting down a push or holding a long lane.

Eight bullets is a buy decision

Headhunter is priced by the bullet: 100 credits each, eight maximum, so a full clip is 800 credits. That is half a Spectre, and it is the cheapest way in the game to bring a weapon that can win a long angle on a save round. Buying five bullets instead of eight is a real choice — 500 credits leaves change for a light shield, and five bullets kill five people if you hit heads.

Rendezvous is the other half of the maths. It is free, it is on a 30-second cooldown, and that cooldown drops to 3 seconds during the buy phase, which means you can place and re-place anchors while the barriers are still up. Treat the teleport as a per-round resource you get several of, not a single get-out-of-jail card.

How to Play Chamber: Take the Shot, Then Leave

The strongest Chamber players set an anchor with Rendezvous before they hold an angle, so the escape is always ready. Use Trademark to cover the flank you cannot watch, and only pull out Headhunter when you have a clear angle. Save Tour De Force for the round where one sniper lane decides the outcome. If your crosshair placement is the weak link, our crosshair guide will help you hit these long duels.

Common Mistakes Chamber Players Make

  • Holding an angle without placing a Rendezvous anchor first.
  • Standing still after firing instead of teleporting out.
  • Wasting Trademark on a lane the team already covers.
  • Pulling out Headhunter in close quarters where it loses.

How to Counter Chamber

Chamber’s escape is only as good as his anchors, so watch where he places Rendezvous and pre-aim it. His Trademark can be destroyed like any other deployable, and pushing him with two players beats a teleport every time. When Tour De Force is up, do not peek the long lane alone.

Chamber rewards aim above all else. Weigh him against other Sentinels on the full agent roster before committing him to ranked.
