How to Read the War Thunder Results Screen

Decode your battle results: Silver Lions, Research Points, activity score, and what each number says about your next battle.

The results screen after every battle is the game’s clearest feedback loop. Read it wrong and you grind the wrong vehicles in the wrong modes; read it right and it tells you exactly what to change. Here is what each number means and what action it implies.

The fields that matter

FieldWhat it isWhat to do with it
Silver Lions (SL)Your net balance change after repair costs, ammo, and rewardsNegative for several matches in a row means change vehicle, mode, or behavior
Research Points (RP)Progress toward unlocking vehicles in the tree you playedSpend on the vehicle you actually intend to play next
Activity scoreHow active you were relative to the battle’s objectivesLow activity with high deaths equals a positioning problem
Rewards / bonusesBoosters, talismans, premium account effectsCheck whether a booster is doing the work you think it is
Vehicle repair costWhat the battle charged you to field that vehicleThe number that decides if a vehicle is affordable for you

Exact payout values vary by mode, battle rating, vehicle, and account status — check the results screen and vehicle cards in-game for your current numbers rather than trusting any fixed table.

Reading the three common patterns

Wins but losing money. Your vehicle’s repair cost is too high for what you earn. Drop to a cheaper vehicle or a lower battle rating until the economy works. The full breakdown is in Silver Lions explained.

Making money but barely researching. You are farming rewards, not progress. Play vehicles on the line you intend to unlock, and prefer modes with higher research output for your level. Efficiency frameworks live in Silver Lions grinding.

Both numbers poor. The problem is usually survival: early deaths cost repairs and pay nothing. Work through the common beginner mistakes list before changing anything else.

Activity score vs. win rate

A high activity score on a losing team means you did your job; a low score on a winning team means you were carried. Neither is a verdict on skill, but the activity score is the better coaching signal for new players because it rewards objective play over kill farming.

One habit to build

After every session, check your last ten matches, not your last one. One bad loss is noise; ten negative matches are a signal to change vehicles, drop battle rating, or revisit your positioning.
