Apex Legends S30 Tier List: Best Legends to Main
Season 30's Marked update reshuffled the meta. Loba, Pathfinder and Axle lead ranked; full 28-Legend tier list with the reasoning.
A tier list is only useful if the tiers mean something. This one is built from three published Season 30 ranked lists cross-checked against pick-rate data from ApexRanked’s Predator sample (September 6, 2026). Below each tier is the job it does, not just its letter.
What Season 30 changed
The Marked update reworked Bloodhound, buffed Loba (Tactical equip 0.6s → 0.4s, longer range, faster travel, Black Market cooldown 150s → 120s) and Rampart, and rebalanced Axle, Seer and Valkyrie. That is why several familiar names moved.
S — meta-defining
Loba (20.2% pick rate). The clear #1 for ranked. Her Jump Drive gives mobility, her passive flags high-rarity loot, and her Black Market supplies the squad without three players clearing every room. The Season 30 buffs push her toward a more active style: supply, then reposition.
Pathfinder (11.7%). Personal mobility plus a zipline the whole squad uses. Strong when the next position is above you or across open ground — but the grapple has a learning curve; practice predictable landings first.
Axle (19.3%). The other mobility anchor. Her Drift passive improves slide control, Nitro Gate launches a boosted slide, and Kickstart deploys a displacing drone. Her kit took balance cuts in late August, so treat the drone as a setup for coordinated fire, not a solo playmaker.
Seer, Alter, Bangalore sit on the S/A boundary across sources — information, pressure and recovery picks that fit almost any squad.
A — excellent, with a clear job
Seer and Vantage for teams that want information to guide a fight; Mad Maggie, Fuse and Sparrow for aggression; Gibraltar, Bangalore, Newcastle and Lifeline for defensive, squad-first comps; Revanent, Octane, Valkyrie, Crypto, Conduit, Caustic and Wattson for specialized pressure or control. Each is a strong main; their tier reflects a narrower fit or higher opportunity cost than the S picks.
B — viable and specialized
Wraith, Mirage, Ash, Rampart, Ballistic and Bloodhound. Bloodhound’s rework is new enough that his placement is still settling. Note the pick-rate trap: Ballistic shows the highest RP-performance in the tracked Predator sample (+56.6) yet only 0.2% pick rate — strong specialist, thin evidence. A practiced B-tier main beats a teammate learning an S-tier legend mid-match.
C — niche
No legend is graded D right now. The bottom of the roster is situational: great in the right hands, but higher competitive opportunity cost or heavier map dependence.
One caution before you lock a main
Pick rate is not power. Loba leads at 20.2% with 34,000+ tracked appearances; a 0.2% pick-rate legend can still post the best RP. Use the tier as a starting point, then pick the legend your two teammates are not already covering. For what those legends should be carrying, see the Apex S30 weapon tier list. The Apex achievements overview covers the lighter Bronze-to-Predator on-ramp.
