ARC Raiders Blueprints: Found Once, Crafted Forever
A blueprint turns a one-off find into a repeatable craft, but it is gated by bench tier. Where blueprints come from and what to do first.
How the gate works
Blueprints are not the only requirement. A blueprint also needs the matching bench at the matching tier — a high-tier weapon pattern is useless while the weapon bench is still at its first level. So the practical sequence is: find the blueprint, bank it, then check which bench tier it needs before you plan the craft. That makes blueprints a poor early-game target and a strong mid-game one. Early on you cannot build most of what you find; mid-game, a single blueprint can replace a whole gear category.
Where they come from
Raid loot. Blueprints appear as ordinary container loot and as quest rewards, which means they are found by clearing rooms properly rather than by killing players. A player carrying three blueprints is worth robbing; a player who cleared a building usually has them. Named large ARC. The Harvester event and other named machines drop high-value patterns, including legendary weapon blueprints. Those fights are the one place where a blueprint is a combat reward rather than a search reward — and the reason a squad will accept the risk of a large ARC encounter. The threat ladder explains what each machine demands.
The safe pocket rule
Blueprints are exactly the item category the safe pocket exists for: small, high value, and irreplaceable in the run you found it in. Anything you cannot replace by looting the next room goes in the safe pocket before you do anything else. If your loadout has no safe pocket — a free loadout, for example — treat the entire raid as disposable and do not carry a blueprint you intend to keep. The safe pocket page covers the exception that lets certain weapons use those slots too.
Craft, don’t hoard the find
The economic argument is simple: a crafted item costs materials, and materials are renewable through Scrappy and normal looting. A found item costs the raid you found it in and cannot be regenerated. Two identical weapons are not equal — the crafted one is the one you take into a fight you might lose. That is also why the workshop rhythm matters. Craft duplicates while a bench is idle, so the loss of a kit is an inconvenience rather than a setback. The workshop order covers which bench to build first, and rarity tiers covers why the highest tier is not automatically the right thing to craft.
