ARC Raiders Loot Priority: What Is Worth the Risk
Not every item deserves stash space or a risky extraction. Which materials to always grab, what to sell, and how to keep your stash from filling with junk.
In ARC Raiders every item you pick up has one of three fates: sell it, keep it, or recycle it. Early on, the constraint is not money — it is stash space. Your Speranza stash fills fast, and the discipline of what you carry back decides whether your account grows or drowns in junk.
Sell aggressively when you start
As a new Raider, sell as much as you can. The cred you earn buys more stash slots, which is the real bottleneck. Holding a pile of mid-tier gear you “might use later” just blocks the slots you need for things that actually matter.
Do not store what you can make or buy
Two rules keep your stash lean:
- Do not keep craftable basics. Bandages, light shields, shield rechargers, basic weapons, and ammunition can all be made in the workshop or bought from traders. Storing them wastes space you should reserve for rare materials.
- Remember trader stock is limited. If a trader sells an item, you may not need to hoard a spare. Check before you bank one. Use the workshop’s tracking tags to mark exactly what you need, so you stop picking up duplicates on instinct.
Always grab these
A few materials are worth stopping for every time, because they are hard to source any other way:
- ARC Alloy and ARC Powercells. These can only be obtained from downed ARC. You do not have to destroy the machine yourself — wreckage is everywhere — but you should always pick the components up when you see them.
- Seed packets. Celeste accepts seeds as currency, so a packet in the field is quietly valuable.
- Trinkets (the diamond-marked items). They have no use beyond bragging rights or selling, but they sell for surprising amounts and fund your early stash expansion.
Keep your best finds in the Safe Pocket
The Safe Pocket guide covers the slot that survives death. The practical rule: anything you would hate to lose on a bad run — a rare component, a blueprint, your best weapon — belongs in the Safe Pocket or the permanent stash, never loose in a loadout you might drop. A Free Loadout exists precisely so you can learn a map without staking your account’s best kit.
Tie loot decisions to risk
The real question is not “is this valuable” but “is this worth the extraction I am about to attempt.” High-value finds are exactly when other Raiders third-party you at the extract, as the PvPvE survival page explains. When your bag is full of Alloy and Cells, extract early and quietly rather than pushing one more POI. The traders guide shows where each material actually converts into progress, so you can stop guessing what to keep.
