Black Ops 7 Best Class: Wildcards & Perks (S6)

Perk Greed unlocks a fourth perk and hybrid Combat Specialties; Ninja, Fast Hands and Dexterity are the ranked core; colors and wildcards combine.

Black Ops 7 perks are organized by color — Enforcer (red), Recon (blue), and Strategist (green). Equip three of the same color, or a 2+1 split, and you activate a Combat Specialty bonus (six types, including hybrid Tactician, Scout and Operative builds). The “best class” question is really about which wildcard and perk combination fits your mode.

The wildcard that unlocks everything

There are nine wildcards; the two that define competitive builds are Perk Greed (swaps your wildcard slot for a fourth perk — the standard ranked choice) and Gunfighter (extra attachments). Perk Greed is what makes hybrid Combat Specialties possible, because the fourth perk is what bridges two specialty trees. Overkill (two primaries) is the third common pick.

The ranked core perks

The competitive standard is Ninja (silent movement, Recon/blue), Fast Hands (weapon swaps and equipment use), and Dexterity (full ADS control while sliding and diving, Enforcer/red). With Perk Greed, the fourth slot is usually Flak Jacket or Lightweight. Note: if your first three perks are three different colors, no Core or Hybrid Specialty activates — only the first three count toward the bonus.

Hybrid Combat Specialties (need Perk Greed)

  • Ghost Recon — Ghost + Ninja + Tracker + Forward Intel. Stay off radar while gaining enemy spawn knowledge; best for solo objective play.
  • Tactical Enforcer — Gung-Ho + Dexterity + Flak Jacket + Tac Mask. Push contested hardpoints through grenade spam and tactical equipment.
  • Heavy Strategist — Quartermaster + Engineer + Scavenger + Hardline. Never run out of defensive trophies or ammo during long holds.
  • Speed Recon — Double Time + Lightweight + Vigilance + Cold-Blooded. SMG flanking build that outpaces defensive rotations.
  • Frontline Enforcer — Quick Fix + Battle Hardened + Scavenger + Fast Hands. Immediate health regen after kills for rapid multi-kills.

The trade-off to know

Running a hybrid forfeits the base class bonus (for example, the Enforcer health boost) in exchange for perk variety. Pick based on mode: pure Core specialties for straightforward play, hybrids for specialized roles. For Search and Destroy, a Ghost + Engineer + Tracker build activates Core Recon (closest-enemy direction, no death skulls), which is the information meta.

Ranked restrictions matter: scorestreaks are banned, the Trophy System is the only legal Field Upgrade, and certain weapons, attachments, perks and scorestreaks are restricted — build around what is actually allowed. Assemble the full kit in the best loadouts guide, pick the guns from the best guns guide, and speed unlocks with the level-up guide.
