Bungie promotes one raid into the featured slot on the weekly reset. The featured raid is not a new raid; it is an older one promoted for the week with extra rewards attached, and the encounter layout stays exactly the same.

What you actually get

Featured raids drop extra pinnacle rewards and, from certain encounters, a guaranteed exotic. You also earn double raid emblem progress, which matters if you are chasing a title or seal. The difficulty is unchanged, so a featured raid still demands that you learn the mechanics.

How to farm it efficiently

Run the featured raid on each of your characters in the same week. Per-character drops are the cleanest grind, and the pinnacle cap is what makes the featured week worth your time. If you only have one character, prioritize the encounters that pay the guaranteed exotic first.

A raid only holds the featured slot for one week at a time, so plan your runs inside that window. If you miss it, the same raid may not return to the featured slot for months, which matters for players chasing the related seal. Stack your characters’ clears early in the week so a busy weekend does not cost you the pinnacle cap.
