The real ranking axis

Ask three questions in this order. Can I buy ammunition for it every raid? A rifle firing an expensive caliber that you can only afford one magazine of is a rifle you will not bring. Caliber availability decides more fights than the gun does. Can I replace the gun? A weapon you are afraid to lose changes how you play. Cheap receivers that accept good ammo beat expensive receivers you cannot afford to rebuy. Does the build hold a stable recoil pattern? Ergonomics and recoil are a trade: a heavy barrel and a large magazine lower recoil and raise weight, which drains stamina. The recoil page covers the trade in detail.

The brackets

Early wipe. Whatever the traders sell and the ammo you can afford. A basic rifle with mid-penetration rounds beats a fancy rifle with cheap rounds, because penetration decides whether your shots matter at all. Mid wipe. The gun whose caliber you can buy in bulk. This is where most players should stop chasing upgrades and start buying ammunition by the case. Late wipe. Whatever your recoil build supports, fed with the best penetration you can source. At this point the difference between guns is smaller than the difference between players who check their corners and players who do not.

Attachments that matter

Optic, muzzle device, and the pistol grip. Everything else is marginal. A sight you can see through at the range you fight at, a muzzle device that lowers recoil without adding weight you cannot carry, and a grip that improves ergonomics are the three purchases that change a fight. Do not build a 300,000-rouble rifle in week one. The ammo chart page is a better investment than any attachment, because it tells you which of your rounds will do anything to the armor you meet.

The build rule

One rifle you know, one ammunition type you can source, one optic that matches your map. Change one variable at a time and only when you can explain what the current one is costing you. That rule survives every patch, which no tier list does.
