Tarkov 1.1.0 Economy Changes: Old Guides Are Wrong
Patch 1.1.0.0 raised trader prices about 25%, cut buyback about 20% and lifted the flea fee from 3 to 5 percent. These hit every mode. The version trap.
The economy rebalance in patch 1.1.0.0 is the part of the Kord Breach update that catches players off guard, because unlike the seasonal systems it is not opt-in. It applies to every mode — your permanent PvP profile, your PvE profile, and the seasonal realm alike.
The three shifts
- Trader prices rose about 25 percent on average. What you buy from traders costs more.
- Trader buyback fell about 20 percent. What traders pay you for items you sell dropped.
- The flea fee went from 3 percent to 5 percent. Every sale on the flea market now costs more in fees. On top of those, the trader sales-volume (turnover) requirement for loyalty levels was removed entirely, which is a genuine easing — but the price and fee moves dominate the early experience. The loyalty reshuffle also changed the early ammo economy in places the headline numbers miss: several common rounds, including 5.45, 5.56 and 7.62 FMJ, became cheaper outright, while other calibres shifted to lower loyalty unlocks, so the opening loadout math is different even where trader prices rose.
Why this is the version trap
Any guide, video, or forum post written before August 2026 that quotes old trader prices, the old 3 percent flea fee, or the old turnover grind is describing an economy that no longer exists. This is exactly the “information too dense to know what is current” problem Tarkov players face after a major patch. The old-guides-wrong page lists the specific pieces of advice to discard.
What it means for your margins
Because both your costs (buy prices) and your income (sell prices, flea fees) moved against you, flipping and crafting margins are thinner than they were. Task rewards make up a larger share of early income than they used to, so the smart opening is to prioritize tasks over market plays. Read any pre-patch price or fee as historical, not current. The flea fee page goes deeper on what the 5 percent actually does to your profits, and the first 72 hours page covers the opening priorities that work in the new economy.
