Escape from Tarkov How to Make Money (2026)
Scav runs are free, the Flea Market unlocks at level 15, and the Bitcoin Farm prints roubles offline. The three money engines that compound in Tarkov.
Tarkov’s economy punishes random looting. The players who get rich are not the ones who find the most loot — they are the ones who built a money engine and let it run. There are three engines that compound, and the first target unlocks all of them.
Target one: level 15 (Flea Market unlock)
Below level 15 you are locked out of buying and selling on the Flea Market, which throttles both your kits and your income. The fastest path there is Scav runs (free, fill your stash, low risk) plus quest XP over kills — early trader quests hand out large XP lumps, rouble rewards, and the loyalty tiers you need.
Engine one: the Bitcoin Farm
The hideout Bitcoin Farm is the single best long-term rouble engine. Loaded with graphics cards, it produces Bitcoin around the clock — even while you are offline — which you sell for steady, hands-off income. It needs a Level 3 Generator, Level 2 Intelligence Center, and GPUs; with 25 GPUs it produces roughly 600,000 roubles per day. Solar Power (Generator L3) halves fuel consumption and pays for itself within a week.
Engine two: profit hideout crafts
Idle craft slots are lost roubles. Queue crafts every time you log in: Medstation (Salewa), Workbench (ammo), Lavatory (moonshine, which also fuels the Scav Case), and the Nutrition Unit. Margins of 200–400% are normal when you buy inputs cheap from traders and sell output on the Flea.
Engine three: Flea flipping and map runs
Once the Flea is open (level 15+), buy underpriced items and relist them, or sell your raid loot into demand spikes. Keyed and marked-room routes on Reserve, Shoreline Resort, and Interchange pay consistently because no player wipes the loot ahead of you. Sell NATO loot to Peacekeeper (dollars) and firearms to Skier (euros) — cash you cannot lose in your next raid.
Season 1 “Kord Breach” reality check
Insurance is disabled this season, so bank value as cash via Peacekeeper sales rather than leaving gear in stash. Trader buy prices rose ~25%, buyback dropped ~20%, and the Flea commission went from 3% to 5%, so margins are thinner than older guides assume. Trader loyalty LL4 gates your best gear; Mechanic LL4 (optics, meta ammo) is the most impactful unlock, while Skier’s 2.6M rouble turnover is the hardest wall.
