The Finals Best Medium Weapons: All-Round Rifles
Medium is the balanced class. Learn which rifle types cover mid range and how to support the team
What Medium is for
Medium sits between Light and Heavy in health and speed. You are the team’s backbone, holding mid-range angles and supporting pushes. Medium rewards consistent rifle play and cover discipline more than raw aggression.
Assault rifles vs DMRs
An assault rifle covers close to mid range and rewards aggressive, flexible play; it is the safest pick. A marksman-style rifle rewards controlled, patient mid-range peeking but struggles in tight rooms. Run an assault rifle until your positioning is solid, then branch into a DMR when you have the angles to use it.
Supporting the team
Medium pairs with a Heavy front-line or a Light flanker. Trade from a stable angle, use cover, and revive safely when the lane is clear. Do not solo-peek long sightlines against a Heavy LMG; that duel is lost before it starts. Your value is the shot you take while the Heavy holds the front and the Light creates the pick.
Common mistakes
Solo-peeking a long sightline into a Heavy LMG loses the duel. Chasing kills like Light wastes Medium’s balance. Standing in the open without cover gets you focused, because your health is not high enough to survive being the front target for long.
Trading and reviving
Medium wins by trading one shot for one shot at range, not by diving. When a teammate goes down, clear the lane with cover fire before you revive; a revive in the open just feeds a second kill. If you are the last one standing, hold the angle the enemy has to cross instead of chasing the fight.
