How to Report a Player in The Finals
Report toxic players and cheaters from the scoreboard. Here is where the report option is and what it does
Where to report
Open the pause or scoreboard menu during or after a match. Select the player’s name and choose the report option, then pick the reason such as cheating, harassment, or teaming. You can only report players from matches you were in.
What happens
Reports feed into anti-cheat and moderation. Multiple reports on the same account flag it for review. Reporting is anonymous; the other player is not told you reported them. Report after the match so you do not lose focus mid-fight.
What weakens a report
Do not argue in chat with a toxic player; it wastes the round and adds nothing to the report. False reports of honest players reduce the system’s value, so report real violations only. Block voice chat from players you flagged so the next match is clean.
Common mistakes
Arguing with a toxic player in chat instead of reporting is the most common waste. Reporting someone who simply beat you is the second, and it dilutes real signals. Waiting until after you have left the lobby and forgotten the name makes the report impossible.
Choosing the reason
The reason you pick changes how the report is handled. Cheating covers aimbots, wallhacks, and impossible shots; harassment covers abusive chat and voice; teaming covers players coordinating with the enemy. Pick the closest match rather than the harshest label, and only report what you actually saw — a report filed under the wrong category is easier to dismiss.
Frequently asked questions
Where do I report a player? From the pause or scoreboard menu during or after a match. Select the player and choose the reason.
Will the player know I reported them? No, reports are anonymous. They feed anti-cheat and moderation without notifying the other player.
Should I report someone who beat me? No, only report real violations like cheating, harassment, or teaming. False reports reduce the system’s value.
A report lands with the anti-cheat team, and the anti-cheat page explains what they can act on; the error codes page covers the disconnect messages that often prompt a report.
