How to Pre-Order GTA 6: Platforms, Bonuses, and Cancellation
GTA 6 pre-orders opened June 25, 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Where to pre-order, what the bonus includes, and how to cancel before launch.
GTA 6 pre-orders opened on June 25, 2026 and remain available. They cover the two confirmed launch platforms only: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. There is no PC pre-order because there is no announced PC version.
Where you can pre-order
- PlayStation Store (digital)
- Microsoft Store (digital)
- Rockstar Store (digital)
- Global retailers and storefronts (physical, which ships a box with a download code)
A PS5 is not required to place a pre-order — you can choose Xbox Series X|S, or use cloud gaming and Remote Play later. The PS5 vs Xbox page explains the platform choice.
What the pre-order bonus includes
For pre-orders placed before November 20, 2026:
- The Vintage Vice City Pack (retro-themed items) on every edition
- A one-month GTA+ membership on digital pre-orders
GTA+ is auto-renewing, so if you do not want it to bill after the first month, turn off auto-renew in your account settings before it lapses. This applies regardless of whether you pick Standard or Ultimate — both get the same pre-order perk.
Pre-load is separate
Pre-loading opens November 12, 2026, not at pre-order time. You pre-order now, then download the game files a week before launch. The preload date page covers why the early download does not unlock the game early.
Cancelling or refunding
- Digital pre-orders: store refund policies generally allow a refund if you cancel before the game is delivered or played. Since the game unlocks November 19, you have a window between now and launch to cancel without penalty. Check your specific store’s policy.
- Physical pre-orders: returnable per the retailer’s standard return terms, since the box ships a download code rather than a playable disc.
Price reminder
Standard is $79.99 and Ultimate is $99.99. If you are deciding between them, the editions comparison lays out exactly what the $20 upgrade adds. The launch date itself is on the release date page.
