Hunt: Showdown Events: Pacts, Pledge Marks and Points
Events run for about two months and layer pacts, pledge marks and a reward track on top of Bounty Hunt. What to chase and what is a trap.
The three moving parts
Event points come from playing — killing, banishing, extracting, and completing weekly challenges. They fill the reward track. Pacts are the choice layer. Pledging a hunter to one of three pacts gives access to that pact’s traits and bonuses for the duration of the event, and each pact suits a different playstyle. Pledges are per hunter, so a roster of five can cover more than one pact. Pledge marks are the scarce currency. You can earn up to three per mission and hold four, they are tied to the hunter, and they come out with you on extraction. They are not physically carried, so they cannot be stolen from your body.
What pledge marks buy
Pledge marks feed pact progression and unlock the special supply points added during events, which trade marks for sealed rewards, cards and gear. This is the only part of an event where spending decisions matter: a mark spent on a sealed envelope is a mark not spent on the pact trait that would keep your hunter alive. If your hunter is likely to die, spend marks in the match you earned them. Marks leave with the hunter, and a dead hunter takes nothing.
The reward track
The track pays cosmetics, hunters, weapon skins, custom ammo unlocks and blood bonds across its levels, with some entries free and some premium. It is time-limited, so the honest calculation is: how many hours do you actually play in eight weeks, and does that reach the item you want. Do not buy the premium track for one skin at the top. The value is in the middle of the track, where the blood bond payouts and weapon variants sit.
What events actually change about the game
Two things worth knowing. Events add sealed world items — envelopes, cards, supply points — which give solo players a reason to visit locations nobody else is checking. And events often reintroduce a wildcard condition, so the wildcard contract becomes available again for the duration. The rest is Bounty Hunt. If you are still learning the game, ignore the event entirely for a week and learn the extraction rules instead; a dead hunter with 40 event points has nothing.
